IT Business Analyst

Job Description

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for an IT Business Analyst to join our UniQue team.

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Elicit and validate requirements through workshops, interviews, and other methods.
  • Develop Jira user stories and document detailed functional specifications.
  • Perform feasibility testing on proposed solutions, alternatives, and opportunities.
  • Create functional requirements using UML Use Cases, Logical Models (LM).
  • Perform data analysis and create data models to structure data efficiently.
  • Coordinate the implementation of the technical architecture.
  • Produce and maintain software architecture documents.
  • Participate in technical working groups, progress meetings, and user meetings.
  • Assist with testing phases, contribute to technical documentation, and support deployment and reporting.
  • Identify, propose, and implement technical solutions across various application components (e.g., frontend, backend, integration).
  • Assist in the planning, analysis, and design of web-based and desktop interfaces; conduct code reviews and refactoring.
  • Model DB structures and troubleshoot defects by analyzing data via SQL queries and SOAP calls.
  • Design GUI mock-ups to illustrate user interface layouts and interactions.

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this position?

  • A Master's Degree in IT field with minimum 7 years of Business Analysis experience (or Bachelor's Degree with minimum 11 years experience).
  • Expertise in business process analysis.
  • Strong experience with Enterprise Architecture.
  • Working experience with software development methodologies (e.g., RUP).
  • Strong knowledge of UML Modeling language.
  • Practical experience in data modeling, database optimization, schema implementation, and writing complex SQL queries.
  • Experience with microservices and RESTful paradigms.
  • Good knowledge of Relational DBMS.
  • Practical experience with Java, Oracle, HTML, SOAP, Web Services/UMS, and Jira.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies.
  • Proven experience with modern UI paradigms (client-side scripting).
  • Knowledge of Balsamiq for interface design.
