Senior SAP Security Specialist

Job Description

Work Schedule: 8:30 PM (IST) to 4:30 AM (IST)

Summary:

We are seeking a Senior SAP Security Specialist to join our team to manage and maintain the security functionalities of our SAP systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for user access management, role administration, authorization concept design, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. As a Senior SAP Security Specialist, you will work closely with business stakeholders to ensure SAP security policies are up to date and effectively implemented, while also conducting security assessments and audits. The role requires extensive experience in SAP security, with hands-on skills in SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, and other SAP applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• SAP Security Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for SAP security functionalities, including user access management, role administration, and authorization concept design.
• Security Assessments: Conduct security assessments and audits of SAP systems to identify vulnerabilities, security gaps, and compliance issues, and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work with business stakeholders to understand their security needs and translate them into SAP security policies, procedures, and controls.
• Policy Implementation & Maintenance: Implement and manage SAP security policies including user provisioning, role design, segregation of duties (SoD) analysis, and incident response.
• Configuration Management: Configure and manage security settings in SAP systems such as SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, and other SAP applications.
• User Training & Support: Conduct training sessions and offer support to end-users to ensure compliance with SAP security policies and best practices.
• Incident Monitoring & Response: Continuously monitor SAP security logs, reports, and alerts to detect and respond to potential security incidents and threats.
• Project Participation: Participate in SAP AMS (Application Management Services) project activities, including requirements gathering, solution design, implementation, and post-implementation support.

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications:

• 10 to 15 years of experience in SAP security administration and governance, with a focus on support, maintenance, and enhancements for SAP security activities.
• At least 2 completed SAP Implementation projects, showcasing comprehensive security design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with security design, implementation, and troubleshooting across SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, and other SAP applications.
• Experience in GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) implementation.
• Extensive experience working with US-based customers across multiple industries.

Technical Skills:

• Deep understanding of SAP security modules, roles, and authorization concepts.
• Proficient in SAP systems including SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, and associated SAP applications.
• Knowledge of security incident response, monitoring tools, and incident management.
• Experience in conducting Segregation of Duties (SoD) analysis and addressing security gaps.

Soft Skills:

• Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage SAP and functional partners.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills (oral and written).
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to act as the primary point of contact for all customer communications in Managed Services.
