For one of our clients, we are looking for a Senior Data Scientist, remotely from Brazil.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced AI solutions tailored for the healthcare sector. Your role will involve leveraging multimodal datasets to create innovative models, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive impactful outcomes, and effectively communicating complex findings to stakeholders. This position requires a deep expertise in machine learning, generative AI, and natural language processing, with a passion for addressing complex challenges using diverse data sources.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop innovative AI solutions for healthcare applications, leveraging multimodal datasets.
  • Develop foundation models using state-of-the-art architectures, algorithms, and technology from the AI community.
  • Derive performance metrics and communicate them to stakeholders.
  • Generate evidence to highlight the clinical relevance and value of AI solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a supportive and knowledge-sharing environment.
  • Lead and manage independent projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Efficiently handle and process large, complex datasets.

Requirements

  • Strong background in deep learning, machine learning, and natural language processing.
  • Hands-on experience coding in Python and proficiency in packages such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, LlamaIndex, scikit-learn, NumPy, SciPy, pandas, matplotlib, etc.
  • Experience working with large datasets using SQL.
  • Familiarity with both open-source and proprietary generative AI models (e.g., prompt engineering, fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation).
  • Master’s degree in a quantitative or analytical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) with at least 5 years of relevant experience; OR Ph.D. in a related discipline with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
