For one of our clients, we are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager - Full stack (Growth), remotely from the United States and Canada.

As the Senior Engineering Manager for the Growth Engineering team, you will play a key role in optimizing user acquisition, engagement, and retention for subscription-based offerings. This is a leadership role where you'll drive technical strategy, manage high-performing full-stack teams, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve business outcomes through personalized and data-driven engineering solutions. You will be responsible for creating seamless user experiences, running experiments, and executing initiatives aimed at maximizing lifetime value for subscribers.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the technical vision for subscription growth, focusing on improving signup optimization, retention flows, pricing strategies, and win-back campaigns.
  • Partner with the Tech Lead to guide the design, development, and scalability of subscription-related systems, ensuring performance and reliability.
  • Build and lead a high-performing full-stack engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
  • Align with Product, Design, Marketing, and Data teams to define priorities and execute high-impact initiatives that enhance user experience.
  • Advocate for engineering best practices, ensuring code quality, testing, and efficient product delivery.
  • Work closely with infrastructure teams to enhance cross-platform subscription experiences and optimize payment and authentication systems.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 4+ years in engineering management.
  • Proven experience in building and scaling subscription platforms, including payments, customer retention, and pricing strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on mentoring and supporting engineering teams in a collaborative, empathetic environment.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to align multiple stakeholders in fast-paced settings.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to balance long-term technical vision with immediate business goals.
  • Experience with growth engineering, including experimentation, conversion optimization, and user segmentation, is a plus.
