For one of our clients, we are looking for a Staff Cloud Platform Engineer - Core Infra, remotely from the United States.

As a Staff Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, resilient, and high-performing cloud infrastructure. You will work with large-scale distributed systems, ensuring their availability and reliability while optimizing performance. Your role will involve developing automated solutions for infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and fault recovery. You will collaborate with engineering teams to provide best practices for storage, messaging, and cloud-based services. This position requires a deep understanding of cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, and an ability to solve complex technical challenges.

Accountabilities:

  • Design and implement fault-tolerant, multi-region cloud infrastructure to support critical applications.
  • Develop automation tools for provisioning, monitoring, and self-healing distributed systems.
  • Optimize cloud-based storage, messaging, and computing services for performance and scalability.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to provide guidance on cloud architecture and data store optimization.
  • Maintain system reliability by implementing monitoring solutions and incident response protocols.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, ensuring fast resolution of system issues.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud platform development, or SRE roles.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Scala, or Python.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing distributed systems on AWS or GCP.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills with a focus on building automated solutions.
  • Understanding of monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions for cloud environments.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams in a fast-paced environment.
