Job Description

The Product Manager at Lumin Digital is responsible for driving the product roadmap, designing and developing innovative software solutions, and ensuring the seamless launch of new features that enhance digital banking experiences. This role is essential in delivering transformative financial products that empower financial institutions and their customers. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in financial services, product development, and lending to build high-impact solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities, Experience:
Lead the design, development, and launch of cutting-edge financial products in collaboration with engineers, designers, and stakeholders.
Own the product lifecycle from ideation to delivery, including requirements gathering, documentation, UX analysis, quality assurance, and performance tracking.
Develop and execute a compelling product vision and strategy, aligning with customer needs and business objectives.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, financial institutions, and third-party vendors to drive product success.
Utilize data-driven insights to create innovative features that improve consumers’ financial lives.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to consumer loans
Partner with third-party vendors such as fraud verification systems, card processors, and insurance providers to enhance product offerings.
Monitor and analyze product performance, incorporating insights into future development cycles.
Advocate for continuous innovation, helping shape Lumin Digital’s position as a leader in digital banking.
Engage with the Lumin Digital community to foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and feedback.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Where will the role grow in: 
30 days: Gain a deep understanding of Lumin Digital’s products, mission, and customer base. Build relationships with key stakeholders across engineering, design, sales, and customer success teams. Begin familiarization with ongoing product initiatives and compliance requirements.
90 days: Take ownership of specific product initiatives, driving development and execution. Contribute to product strategy discussions, incorporating user feedback and market insights.
1 Year: Lead the successful launch of new features and enhancements. Continuously refine and optimize product development processes to maximize efficiency and impact.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
7+ years of experience in product management within the financial services industry 
Prior experience in digital banking, lending, or FinTech preferred.
Experience working with compliance and regulatory frameworks for financial products.
Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills in a cross-functional environment.
Deep understanding of consumer loans, collections, and underwriting guidelines.
Knowledge of state-specific licensing, registration requirements, and regulatory compliance for loan products.
Experience working with third-party vendors such as fraud verification systems, card processors, and insurance providers.
Strong product strategy, planning, and execution skills.
Ability to translate data and market insights into actionable product enhancements.
Proficiency with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.


Education: 
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


Travel: 
Minimal, generally 12 days or less per year, ~2X team get togethers a year
