Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Digital Marketing Specialist plays a crucial role in consistently fulfilling digital marketing services for our clients.

As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will execute day-to-day marketing tasks and communicate with in-house and outsourced team members such as content creators, designers, developers, and marketing strategists to launch campaigns on time and on budget. You will also interface directly with clients to discuss digital asset setup, campaign progress, and performance reporting.

The DM Specialist is primarily a tactical position; however, this position also requires discernment and strategic thinking. You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently utilizing various marketing tools to execute digital setup for campaigns and assigned projects. This role requires high attention to detail to ensure the proper setup and operation of critical marketing tactics.

This is a full-time, salary position with flexible PTO and support for lifelong learning. We are a fully remote team, which means no commute or cubicles (and lots of video chat and emoji).

Although your day-to-day will involve working closely with our small team, you need to be the kind of person who enjoys working from home and managing their own time productively.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Digital Marketing Specialist will assist in both coordination and implementation.

Coordination

  • Campaign Setup and Management: Initiate and oversee digital marketing campaigns within the project management system, ensuring alignment with client goals and optimal use of digital channels and assets.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary liaison for project communications, ensuring clear and timely exchanges between clients, team members, and external partners.
  • Timeline and Deadline Management: Create and manage project timelines, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule. Address potential delays to keep projects on track.
  • Budget Oversight: Monitor project scope and track spending to ensure adherence to allocated funds.

Implementation

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Assist in the strategic planning, quality assurance (QA), execution, and reporting of client marketing engagements.
  • Digital Advertising Campaigns: Set up and execute ad campaigns using platforms like Facebook Business Manager and Google Ad Manager, ensuring precise targeting and optimization for client objectives.
  • Email Marketing Campaigns: Implement and manage email marketing campaigns and automations using Active Campaign and other platforms, focusing on engagement and conversion metrics.
  • Landing Page Management: Occasionally update content on landing pages utilizing WordPress and Beaver Builder
  • Marketing Tools Integration: Set up and integrate various marketing tools such as Zapier, ConvertBox, Gravity Form, RafflePress, etc., enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  • Tracking and Reporting Setup: Oversee tracking and reporting systems using tools like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Facebook Pixel, AgencyAnalytics, etc., to monitor and analyze campaign performance.
  • Performance Reporting: Support in generating detailed performance reports and insights for campaigns, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Quality Assurance Assistance: Aid in quality assurance testing of marketing assets and campaign setups to ensure accuracy and effectiveness before client review and live deployment.
  • Trend Monitoring and Innovation: Keep abreast of the latest marketing trends and best practices, suggesting and testing new ideas or tactics to enhance campaign performance and client satisfaction.

ABOUT YOU

You want to go deeper in your digital marketing knowledge and experience. You are hungry for more opportunities to implement marketing strategies and track what works and what doesn’t.

You are incredibly skilled at both micro and macro thinking. Making sure the big picture is always moving forward by way of all the tiny details that need to get done.

You love supporting others. Knowing you’ve set someone else up for success gives you enormous satisfaction. You connect with team members on a personal level while working together to complete the work at hand.

You’re big on follow-through. When you commit to sending a follow-up, it happens. You take pride in delivering on all your promises and exceeding expectations on deadlines.

You are great at playing detective. You love finding solutions to problems, researching options, and articulating the pros and cons of each.

You are pro-proactive. You do NOT thrive on being micromanaged, and you love the freedom to excel in your job without being given every step to get there. You want to find ways to make your job better without needing constant oversight.

You are open, direct, and straightforward. You believe that honesty, awareness, and ownership are the direct routes to problem-solving.

You’d rather not play the “blame game,” but correct the issue and keep moving. You are a solution-based thinker who investigates why things went wrong to improve the process. You believe that a process problem lies at the root of most apparent people problems. Your positive attitude helps keep morale high and the team moving forward.

It is pretty impossible to faze you, and you’re able to take a hit and keep rolling. Your goal is to get it done, even if the path to it isn’t quite the one that you anticipated!

You’re a lifelong learner. You enjoy growing and seek out ways to hone your craft through books, podcasts, training, and good ol’ Google searches.
