About the Role:

As Data Scientist, Finance you’ll play a key role in helping our finance team, executives and GTM teams grow our business. Our team owns financial KPI reporting and key data intensive forecasts and analyses such as ASPs and demand by product line, billings and collections, churn and LTV.  You’ll help us uplevel our forecasts moving beyond spreadsheet analysis and building models for our forecasts with your ML and Python expertise.  We want someone who enjoys collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders and is happy to work in any tool that solves the problem.

What You'll Do:

  • Evolve core financial analyses and forecasts using large data sets and machine learning to improve their accuracy
  • Partner with the broader finance function and GTM teams to incorporate improved analyses and forecasts into overall financial plans
  • Identify and build solutions for operational use cases in forecasting —e.g. further automation, system monitoring and alerting, outlier detection, etc.
  • Build insightful and reliable dashboards to track performance of forecasts to actuals that will deliver insights to the whole company
  • Communicate forecasts and analysis to stakeholders on a regular basis including root cause analysis

What We're Looking For:

  • 7+ years experience in data science
  • Experience using advanced quantitative, statistical, and data science techniques to build forecasting models
  • Experience with financial forecasting
  • Expert skills in spreadsheets, SQL, & Python 
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau Preferred)
  • A meticulous attention to detail
  • Self-starter with the ability to self-project manage work
  • Ability and experience explaining complex technical forecasts to business stakeholders
