Job Summary: As our Project Manager IV, you’ll support multiple projects for our healthcare customers. You’ll be engaging both Rackspace and client stakeholders. Effectively lead, drive, and execute projects using SCRUM methodology to achieve outcomes that meet the customer’s success criteria. You’ll have the unique opportunity to support both pre and post sales teams. Overall you’ll be responsible for the scope, planning, monitoring, and execution of technical projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring they remain on schedule and within budget, cost, and quality tolerances.

Work Location: San Antonio, TX with a hybrid work schedule: 2 days in office and 3 days remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage project profitability, revenue, margins, and utilization by proactive forecasting and escalating any potential scope change or new revenue opportunities.
Maintain commercial responsibility for the project while building relationships with the customer to identify new opportunities to help them with their business problems.
Escalate any conflicting resource requirements that may affect delivery in a timely manner.
Build and maintain a network of cross-functional technical resources within Rackspace.
Contribute to the refinement of the Rackspace Professional Services methodology.
Effectively communicate upwards to senior management and stakeholders as well as downwards to project team resources.
Complete and adhere to RACI and hold people accountable for their responsibilities.
Accountable for the preparation of key project documents (PID, plans, logs, reports) and other key deliverables throughout the life of the project.
Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues, ensuring appropriate response plans are developed and executed.
Effectively manage changes to the project baseline by assessing project variance and evaluating impacts supported by the use of rigorous change control processes.
Monitor the delivery of project deliverables from third parties, both inside and external to Rackspace, tracking progress through communication with project members.
Prepare and present accurate reports on project progress and problems to Rackspace and client stakeholders.
Provide guidance for and assist with the creation of proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and Statements of Work (SoW).
Participate in negotiating with customers or partners during contractual discussions.
Qualifications:
7+ years of project management experience preferably in managed services or hosting.
5+ years of experience working on technology projects including one or more of the following: virtualization technologies, cloud platforms, application, platform migration, data, storage, network migration and/or management.
Must have a project management related certification for example PMP, PRINCE2, SCRUM, Agile, and/or SAFe.
Excellent all-round knowledge of cloud technologies, IT operations, and project management operations.
Enterprise-level proficiency in MS Office Suite and knowledge of other project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Trello, etc.).
(Desired) Previous experience of directly managing other PMs / Technical resources.
