Accounting Manager (E-Commerce)

We are looking for a highly skilled Accounting Manager to oversee full-cycle accounting operations and ensure financial accuracy across our organization. This role plays a key part in managing financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, and process improvements. The ideal candidate will lead an accounting team, handle budgeting, and collaborate with key stakeholders to drive financial efficiency.

As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing audits, overseeing statutory compliance (including for our Philippines entity), and ensuring adherence to GAAP and other relevant regulations. Your expertise in financial reporting, treasury management, and process automation will be essential in maintaining strong financial health. Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, treasury management, and financial reporting.
  • Manage the monthly/periodic reporting process, including preparing financial statements (cash flow, P&L, balance sheet, variance analysis) and presenting to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and other relevant regulations (e.g., VAT/GST, 1099 filing) and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, including performance management, coaching, and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors, legal, tax, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting and compliance.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and systems implementations to enhance efficiency, controls, and reporting.
  • Manage the corporate budget process, including consolidation, reporting, and analysis.
  • Liaise with operations to ensure adherence to accounting procedures.
  • Manage weekly global payment runs.
  • Oversee and assist with GAAP audits and financial reporting for the Philippines entity.
  • Partner with relevant stakeholders to manage local statutory compliance, registrations, and reporting for the Philippines entity.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Contribute to finance team projects and special assignments as directed by leadership.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Lead change management efforts related to process improvements and system implementations.

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including 4-6 years as a Controller with expertise in full-cycle accounting.
  • Experience in product-based/fashion industry and eCommerce sales/order processing preferred.
  • Proficient in preparing financial reports (cash flow, P&L, balance sheet, variance analysis) and presenting to senior leadership.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and internal controls.
  • Expertise in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with payroll processing software (ADP, OnPay) and UniFi bookkeeping a plus.
