The ideal candidate will spearhead the development of Xsolla Metasites, a transformative platform designed to revolutionize how games are revealed, monetized, and developed. You will play a key role in creating a YouTube-like game ecosystem that empowers developers to share prototypes, developer diaries, and engage players in unprecedented ways.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Development Management:
  • Set goals and plan the development process for the team.
  • Estimate implementation timelines for individual tasks.
  • Organize and facilitate team rituals.
  • Create and manage the product QA process.
  • Participate in testing and delivery processes.
    • Team Management:
  • Lead a diverse team of senior engineers.
  • Support employees’ professional growth through knowledge sharing and mentorship.
  • Leverage team members’ strengths while addressing weaknesses.
  • Build a culture of collective responsibility and commitment.
  • Foster trust, creativity, and mentorship within the team.
  • Define future technologies and development architecture in collaboration with the team.
  • Participate in architectural discussions across the department.

    • REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years of work experience 
  • Experience in Kanban methodology 
  • Working knowledge of Go, PHP, or C++ programming language
  • Professional knowledge of SQL and MySQL/PostgreSQL database
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform technologies (Kubernetes Engine, CloudSQL, PubSub, and Cloud Run) or with any other cloud provider 
  • Decent understanding of backend components, such as caches, networks, load balancers, CDNs, etc
  • Ability to build reliable, scalable, and fault-tolerant software
  • Ability to work and be flexible in a fast-paced environment 

    • PREFERRED
  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue
  • Experience in developing CI/CD pipelines
  • Automation test development with Playwright or Cypress
  • Working experience with key-value and document databases
  • Team management experience 
  • Experience with C++ (or Unreal Engine)
  • Experience with Game Development
  • Experience with Pixel-Streaming
  • Experience with 3D Web (Three.js, GSAP, Babylon.js, WebGL)
