Salesforce CPQ Technical Product Owner

Job Description

The Product Owner - CPQ will collaborate with various business units to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to our CPQ processes. This role involves mapping these requirements into technical specifications for the development team to implement within DealHub. A strong foundation in Salesforce administration and experience with CPQ tools, particularly DealHub, is essential. 


Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with business units to identify, understand, and document their CPQ-related requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications for the development team.
  • Collaborate with the Deal Desk and cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, and IT, to streamline CPQ processes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for DealHub, providing guidance and support for its effective use and optimization.
  • Configure and maintain DealHub in alignment with business requirements.
  • Test and validate changes to the system to ensure they meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Provide training and documentation for end users and stakeholders on new features and workflows.
  • Monitor and resolve system issues, identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Stay updated on CPQ and DealHub trends and best practices to bring innovative solutions to the organization.

  • Qualifications and Experience:
  • Must-Haves:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Salesforce administration, with a focus on CPQ tools.
  • Hands-on experience with DealHub or a DealHub certification.
  • Proven track record in Deal Desk support or similar roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience in process improvement and workflow optimization.
  • Familiarity with other CPQ tools besides DealHub.
  • Background in financial modeling or pricing strategies.
  • Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with training and documentation for technical tools.
