Job Description

Meztal is seeking talented and motivated .NET Software Engineers to join our team. As a Software Engineer at Meztal, you will work closely with Product, QA, and other internal teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions that make an impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to design robust, scalable, and efficient software solutions.
  • Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, etc.).
  • Testing: Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure the quality of delivered solutions.
  • Code Review: Review and provide constructive feedback on code contributions from peers.
  • Backlog Management: Participate in backlog grooming and sprint planning sessions to prioritize and estimate work.
  • Issue Resolution: Perform root cause analysis and resolve production issues, including hotfix releases when necessary.
  • Collaboration: Actively contribute to team meetings, sprint retrospectives, and roadmap planning.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for systems and processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing .NET solutions.
    • 3+ years of experience with ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, ORM frameworks (Entity Framework, Dapper, Razor, Blazor).
    • 3+ years of programming in C# and utilizing Object-Oriented Design principles.
    • 3+ years working with SaaS products.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server, SQL query writing, and database architecture.
    • Familiarity with Azure Portal, Azure Emulators, and other cloud tools.
    • Experience with JetBrains Rider, LinqPad, Postman, PowerShell, Sentry, SQL Server Management Studio, and Visual Studio Code.
    • Exposure to Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence) and design tools like Figma/FigJam.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong collaboration skills to work within cross-functional teams.
    • Adaptability to new tools, technologies, and processes.
    • A curious mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
    • Optimistic and solution-oriented attitude, even in challenging situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
    • Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Rackspace.
    • Previous experience in the software or healthcare industry.
    • Experience designing and developing scalable data models.

    • Delivering features and enhancements that align with product roadmaps.
    • Identifying and implementing improvements in existing codebases.
    • Ensuring the team’s output meets sprint commitments.
    • Contributing to technical discussions and team decision-making processes.

  • Technical Interview: A one-hour technical video interview with our VP of Engineering and a Senior Developer.

  • Final Decision: After these steps, we will be in a position to make a final decision.
