About the Role:

As the Business Development Representative (BDR) for retail sales accounts, you will be responsible for developing new business as well as maintaining and driving sales at accounts to achieve efficient and profitable sales of the company’s products to targeted levels.  Assist the team to optimise existing accounts and prospects. Interface with other departments as needed to drive business within accounts and resolve any issues that may arise. We are looking for a high-energy, creative, and business-savvy individual to join our team. In addition to retail and operational management responsibilities, this role will also collaborate with internal stakeholders from operations, finance, supply/customer service, product management and marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate an ability to build and/or establish strong relationships with new accounts and within major existing accounts including product managers, buyers, planners, etc.
  • Assist customers with all account related questions, issues, or concerns. Provide accurate, timely information to the customers regarding inquiries such as products, pricing, and quotes
  • Conduct weekly reviews of sales, returns, credits, quotes, promotions, sell-through, inventory management, forecasts, and any other account activities that will impact financial results for the accounts.
  • Marketing coordination in support of Retail accounts:  set-up, tracking, and management of retailer marketing funds, online advertising, and creative content coordination.
  • Manage all third-party vendors for displays, including vendor sourcing, RFQ, coordinating creative, approval process internal/retailers, coordinating shipments to retailers, and project management against retailer timelines.
  • Analyse and understand industry market trends, competition, products, and pricing that may impact sales efforts and communicate this information to all sales and other departments as necessary
  • Travel to tradeshows and customer sites is required. Depending on assignment, international travel may be required
  • New Item Setup: Internal SKU request and coordinating packaging assets for purchasing. External, completing set up documents and WERCS registration.

Requirements

  • 2 - 3 years of account experience; retail account experience required 
  • Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with an ability to translate plans into revenue-generating actions.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of effectively liaising with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Experience leveraging data to retail analytic applications, forecastin,g and inventory management capabilities, i.e. syndicated data (Circana, 3PL data systems, Google sheets, etc) and incorporating customer-specific data into these tools.

For Colorado-based candidates, the range being offered for this role is $65-90K based on experience and for California-based candidates, the range being offered for this role is $65-90K based on experience.
