The Full Stack Java Engineer Role:

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Java Engineer to join our team and help us build the next generation of drone technology. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying innovative software solutions for our drone systems.

  • Design and develop robust and scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Create RESTful APIs for seamless integration with frontend and drone hardware.
  • Build user-friendly and intuitive frontend interfaces using modern web technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Leverage containerization and Kubernetes to deploy and manage applications efficiently.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.


The Full Stack Java Engineer position is an exempt, non-supervisory, remote role reporting to the Director of Platform Solutions.  This position will travel up to 3 weeks per quarter.  Annual salary is $140,000 to $180,000 depending on experience. 

Requirements

Qualifications you bring:

·        Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience

·        Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

·        Strong proficiency in Java programming language and Enterprise Java frameworks (Spring Boot).

·        Experience in building RESTful APIs and micro-services architecture.

·        Solid understanding of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue for example).

·        Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.).

·        Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes.

·        Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

·        Ability to travel up to three weeks per quarter as needed.

·        Legally authorized to work in the United States

Bonus Qualifications:

·        Experience with drone-related technologies (telemetry, flight control, image processing).

·        Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

·        Contributions to open-source projects.

·        Passion for drones and aviation.

·        U.S. Military Veteran
