Position: Part-Time Shopify Developer
Job Type: Part-Time (20 - 30 hrs/week)

Our client is a successful e-commerce beauty and wellness brand focused on sustainability and innovation. They offer a diverse range of products, including haircare tools, skincare essentials, and self-care items, designed to enhance daily routines. The brand is committed to using eco-friendly materials and promoting sustainable practices, serving customers in over 27 countries.

This role is temporary and not for the long term. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Shopify Store Development: 

○  Build, customize, and maintain Shopify themes. 

○  Implement and configure Shopify Apps to enhance store functionality. 

○  Develop and modify custom Shopify themes to align with brand guidelines. 

Landing Page Creation: 

○  Design and develop high-converting, responsive landing pages for campaigns and promotions. 

○  Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure designs meet campaign objectives and performance goals. 

Custom Functions and Scripts: 

○  Write and maintain Shopify scripts for custom functionality (e.g., discounts, 

promotions, and personalized experiences). 

○  Implement advanced Shopify functions (e.g., AJAX carts, product filtering, 

dynamic pricing). 

Design & User Experience: 

○  Translate design mockups and wireframes into functional pages using HTML, 

CSS, and JavaScript. 

○  Optimize the user experience to improve site performance and engagement. 

○  Maintain consistent branding and design standards across all pages. 

Troubleshooting & Maintenance: 

○  Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Shopify themes, apps, and 

integrations. 

○  Monitor website performance and ensure fast load times.

Requirements

●  Proven experience as a Shopify Developer (2+ years preferred). 

●  Strong skills in front-end development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid. 

●  Experience creating visually appealing landing pages with a focus on conversion 

optimization. 

●  Familiarity with Shopify APIs and integrations. 

●  Knowledge of Shopify Scripts, Shopify Functions, and custom app development. 

●  Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Photoshop). 

●  Understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles. 

●  Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. 

●  Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

●  Experience with SEO optimization for eCommerce sites. 

●  Knowledge of version control systems like Git. 

●  Familiarity with headless Shopify solutions. 

●  Basic understanding of graphic design principles. 

Work Environment: 

●  This is a part-time, remote position with flexible hours. 

●  The role requires approximately 20-30 hours per week (may vary based on project 

needs). 

●  Communication through project management tools (e.g., Slack, Asana) and regular 

check-ins.
