Position Overview:
We are seeking two accounting professionals to join our team, with a focus on supporting our clients with accounting services and contributing to the efficient operation of the firm. One position is for a Senior Accounting Specialist, and the other is for an Entry-Level Accounting Clerk.
Responsibilities:
For both positions:
• Record entries in the general ledger for monthly accounting services clients.
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
• Review the general ledger for accuracy and reasonableness.
• Review monthly financials and make necessary adjustments.
• Propose and create reclass entries as needed.
• Communicate effectively with clients.
• Work with the tax team to identify expenses and transactions that might impact tax returns.
• Participate in team development and process improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to provide additional services to clients.
• Use research services to enhance technical knowledge and offer valuable services.
• Resolve issues using internal and external resources.
• Follow all firm policies and procedures.
• Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
Senior Accounting Specialist Responsibilities:
• Perform more complex accounting tasks, including CFO-level work.
• Review and approve entries and financial statements prepared by junior team members.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced staff.

Role Requirements:
Senior Accounting Specialist:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience.
• Chartered Accountant certification or equivalent highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online (QuickBooks Desktop experience a plus).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to mentor and support junior staff members.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to thrive in a paperless office environment.
Entry-Level Accounting Clerk:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounting
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online (QuickBooks Desktop experience a plus).
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to learn new software tools quickly.
