We're seeking a technical Engineering Manager I to help lead our growing full-stack engineering team. The digital advertising industry is riddled with interesting challenges as we continue to scale out our platform with a fast growing list of customers. Our technologies include Ruby on Rails, Go, React, GraphQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, Amazon Redshift, and others.
About the team:
At StackAdapt, measurements are used to understand the impact and effectiveness of advertising campaigns. Currently, there are four types of measurement studies in the platform that include: 1PDA (1st Party Data Attribution), BLS (Brand Lift Study), ACR (Incremental Reach) and FTA (Footfall Attribution). Each of these measurements helps to evaluate specific details regarding the performance of advertising campaigns and provides insights regarding which adjustments could be made to achieve better results.
What you'll be doing
Leading a team of 2-4 engineers that are focused on the continued development of the core measurement offerings in addition to building net new measurement solutions to continue to grow and expand the portfolioMentor teams of talented engineers within full-stack web engineeringPromote software development best practices and conduct rigorous code reviewsPlan ahead and architect web pages to be strongly typed & maintainable, have great UX and scale well for our largest clients that run tens of thousands of campaignsRigorously identify and solve technical challengesWrite code as needed, such as those involving issue resolution and low-effort high-impact itemsWork closely with Product Managers and Designers to ensure requirements and priorities alignConduct interviews to attract and identify potential high-performing candidatesBalance and prioritize projects to maximize efficiency and ensure company objectives are achievedWe'll be reaching out to applicants that have
Proven track record of delivering results and leading growing, high-impact teamsAt least 5+ years experience building highly performant web applications with outstanding UX Experience leading large scale modernization efforts to revamp legacy systems from start to finishExperience analyzing, benchmarking and optimizing web application performance across the entire stackExperience with at least 3 direct reports in a leadership roleIn-depth experience with Typescript, React, GraphQLExperience scaling a Ruby on Rails backend architecture is a plusPrior experience building data-intensive visualizations such as graphs & maps are a plusA strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (we have not forgotten our basics!) - data structures, system design, cloud computing, full-stack development etc.Passion to build a positive and fun engineering cultureStackAdapters Enjoy
