Position Type: Full-Time, Remote
Location: Remote
Working Hours: U.S. Business Hours (Flexible for on-call support and critical incidents)
We’re hiring a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to design, maintain, secure, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure across client environments.
This role is responsible for ensuring networks remain stable, secure, high-performing, and scalable while supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term infrastructure improvements. You’ll work across routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, monitoring systems, and hybrid cloud networking environments.
This is not a basic helpdesk or support-only role. We’re looking for someone with strong troubleshooting instincts, hands-on networking expertise, and the ability to take ownership of infrastructure reliability, security, and performance.
The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, highly analytical, and capable of diagnosing and resolving complex network issues efficiently in fast-paced environments.
• Configure, manage, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
• Implement and maintain VLANs, QoS, VPN tunnels, ACLs, and routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP
• Perform firmware upgrades, device patching, and infrastructure maintenance
• Support network expansion projects, migrations, and infrastructure upgrades
• Ensure stable connectivity across multi-site and hybrid environments
• Monitor network performance and uptime using tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Zabbix, or similar platforms
• Investigate and resolve latency, packet loss, DNS, routing, and connectivity issues
• Troubleshoot escalated incidents using tools like Wireshark and TCPdump
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement preventive solutions
• Respond to critical outages and support on-call incident resolution when needed
• Configure and maintain firewalls including Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Juniper environments
• Enforce network security policies, segmentation, ACLs, and intrusion prevention systems
• Support compliance initiatives related to PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOX, GDPR, or similar standards
• Assist with Zero Trust networking and secure remote access implementation
• Maintain secure and resilient network infrastructure with proactive risk mitigation
• Conduct bandwidth utilization reviews and capacity planning
• Optimize network performance, redundancy, failover, and load balancing
• Maintain high availability and network uptime standards across environments
• Identify infrastructure bottlenecks and recommend scalable improvements
• Support cloud networking integration for AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, topology maps, SOPs, and runbooks
• Document infrastructure changes following ITIL or structured change management processes
• Ensure all systems, configurations, and procedures remain organized and audit-ready
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and DevOps teams on technical initiatives
• Strong troubleshooting mindset with ability to stay calm during critical incidents
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation discipline
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Proactive and preventative approach to infrastructure reliability
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
• Strong ownership mindset with ability to work independently in remote environments
• 3+ years of professional network engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies and infrastructure
• Strong understanding of routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP
• Experience configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN environments
• Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Experience with Cisco environments or equivalent enterprise networking platforms
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and QoS
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certifications
• Experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Juniper environments
• Experience with AWS VPCs, Azure VNets, or hybrid cloud networking
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Python, Ansible, or Terraform
• Experience supporting multi-site enterprise environments
• Exposure to Zero Trust networking models and advanced security frameworks
