🌐 ISP Network Support Engineer (BGP, MikroTik, Peplink, SD-WAN & Wireless Infrastructure)

Full-Time | Remote | U.S. Hours

🚀 About the Role

We’re hiring a technically strong and proactive ISP Network Support Engineer to support both customer-facing troubleshooting and production network operations inside a growing multi-WAN ISP environment.

This is not a basic helpdesk role.

You’ll work directly with:
✅ Live ISP infrastructure
✅ Multi-WAN & SD-WAN environments
✅ Wireless backhaul systems
✅ Routing & failover operations
✅ Bonded WAN connections
✅ Enterprise networking equipment

You’ll troubleshoot complex connectivity issues, configure production-grade networking hardware, and help maintain high-availability systems across:

  • fiber
  • fixed wireless
  • bonded WAN
  • Starlink
  • SD-WAN deployments

This role is ideal for someone with real-world ISP/WISP/MSP experience who enjoys solving network problems in live production environments.

🔥 What You’ll Own

Customer Support & Network Troubleshooting

  • Respond to customer issues involving:
    • connectivity problems
    • latency
    • packet loss
    • VoIP quality
    • routing issues
  • Troubleshoot:
    • bonded WAN links
    • SD-WAN failover
    • wireless backhaul
    • VLAN segmentation
    • VPN connectivity
  • Support:
    • routers
    • firewalls
    • customer premise equipment (CPE)
  • Document:
    • troubleshooting steps
    • root cause analysis
    • configuration changes
  • Participate in rotating after-hours emergency support (1 week/month)
  • Consult with business customers on:
    • redundancy
    • failover
    • network optimization strategies

ISP Network Operations & Infrastructure

  • Monitor and maintain:
    • wireless backhaul systems
    • edge routing devices
    • bonded WAN infrastructure
    • core ISP services
  • Provision and configure:
    • routers
    • VLANs
    • firewall rules
    • QoS policies
    • VPNs
  • Troubleshoot:
    • BGP
    • OSPF
    • failover events
    • routing loops
    • WAN instability
  • Configure and maintain:
    • MikroTik RouterOS
    • Peplink SpeedFusion
    • InControl2
  • Support:
    • tower deployments
    • infrastructure expansion
    • backhaul upgrades
  • Maintain:
    • configuration backups
    • network hardening
    • firmware updates
    • IP documentation
    • network diagrams
