Role: Chief of Staff

Location: 100% Remote | PST

Contract: Long Term Independent Contractor

About the company

Soulstice is a new hair care brand launching on September 2. The company is building products across shampoos, conditioners, and treatments, working with contract manufacturers, retail partners including Sephora, and a direct-to-consumer channel. The founder is looking for a Chief of Staff to join ahead of launch and help build the business foundation.

Role summary

This is a high-impact Chief of Staff role for a second-time founder. The person in this role will serve as a right hand to the founder, helping set up the business, support launch preparation, create structure across functions, and drive operational follow-through as the company scales toward launch.

Key responsibilities

• Partner closely with the founder on day-to-day business priorities
• Help build and refine organizational structure and internal processes
•  Support launch preparation across business operations
• Coordinate with external vendors and help manage key relationships
• Create systems to keep projects moving and teams aligned
• Build decks, presentations, and planning materials for internal and external use
• Identify tools, workflows, and operating rhythms that improve execution across the business

Requirements

Ideal Candidate

• 3+ years of Chief of Staff experience
• Strong project management capability    
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Executive presence and confidence
• Comfortable challenging ideas and providing thoughtful pushback when needed
• Highly organized and able to operate in a fast-moving startup environment
•  Able to work across strategy, operations, and execution

Tools / systems

Experience with:

• Google Workspace
• Project management tools such as Notion or Asana
• Presentation tools such as Google Slides, Canva, or Figma

Nice to have

• Experience supporting a founder or leadership team in an early-stage company
• Exposure to consumer brands, beauty, CPG, or product launch environments
• Experience building processes from the ground up
