About the role:

 
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire operation of a business unit or product, having broad responsibilities that encompass strategic planning, operational management, financial oversight, and overall leadership. Plays a key role in the strategic alignment and collaboration with partners from all functional teams. Oversees the overall operations and strategic direction of the departments that is leading, setting the vision and long-term goals, making decisions at the highest level that might impact the entire organization. Provides visionary leadership to drive business growth and profitability, managing the budgeting process and financial performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize revenue and control costs.


What you'll be doing:
  • Own the initiative end-to-end as a business: Define the strategy, roadmap, and execution plan, and drive this initiative to become a core entry point into the platform with clear impact on member engagement, care access, and client outcomes.
  • Run the operating system: Set goals and KPIs, establish a strong execution cadence, and ensure consistent tracking, prioritization, and delivery across all work streams.
  • Drive product and clinical experience: Shape the end-to-end member experience from first interaction through guidance and routing, ensuring clarity, safety, and effectiveness in how members understand their needs and take action.
  • Advance the intelligence layer: Work closely with AI/ML and engineering teams to improve decision quality, routing accuracy, and response consistency, balancing speed of iteration with reliability and safety.
  • Own performance and outcomes: Track and improve key metrics such as adoption, resolution, routing quality, and time to appropriate care, and ensure the initiative contributes meaningfully to overall client ROI.
  • Lead cross-functionally: Align Product, Engineering, Clinical, Growth, Operations, and Commercial teams, resolve trade-offs, and drive decisions that keep execution focused and efficient.
  • Act as a visible leader: Communicate clearly, surface risks early, and maintain accountability for delivery and outcomes across stakeholders.

  • What you need to have:
  • 10+ years of experience across product, strategy, operations, or general management: With a significant portion in high-growth or fast-paced environments, and clear progression into roles with increasing ownership.
  • Proven end-to-end ownership of a product or business area: Track record of owning a product or business area with measurable impact on growth, engagement, or cost outcomes.
  • Strong 0→1 and scaling experience: Experience building new products or initiatives from early stages and scaling them into meaningful drivers of business impact.
  • Entrepreneurial or builder mindset (founder or equivalent experience preferred): Experience operating with high ownership, making decisions under uncertainty, and driving execution without established structures.
  • Strong operating and execution discipline: Ability to translate ambiguous problems into clear plans, set priorities, and consistently deliver results in a fast-moving environment.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-driven products or systems: Experience working with AI-based systems, with the ability to make trade-offs between model performance, speed, and user experience.
  • Ability to drive outcomes through cross-functional teams: Experience aligning Product, Engineering, Clinical or Operations, and Commercial stakeholders, and driving decisions without relying on direct authority.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset: Comfort defining KPIs, diagnosing performance issues, and using data to inform prioritization and course correction.
  • Experience building and scaling teams or functions: Track record of hiring, structuring, and developing teams with clear ownership and accountability.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity: Ability to create structure where none exists, make decisions with incomplete information, and maintain momentum in complex environments.
  • Experience delivering complex products or programs: Background working on products that require coordination across multiple systems, stakeholders, or external partners.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management: Ability to communicate clearly with senior leadership and ensure alignment across teams with different priorities.
  • Experience in healthcare ecosystems (preferred): Familiarity with care delivery, navigation, or benefits systems, including exposure to providers, payers, or healthcare data.
