Working Hours: 10AM - 6PM Melbourne Time (AEDT), Monday to Friday

About the Role We're seeking an experienced Senior Media Buyer to join an Australian marketing agency managing 15-20 lead generation clients, primarily in the property and adjacent service-based sectors. This role focuses on owning the day-to-day Meta ads operation across the full client book: launching campaigns, scaling winners, killing losers, optimising for CPL, and reporting performance back to clients each week.

You'll work alongside a content and video team that handles copy, scripts, and editing, while you own media buying execution, creative strategy, and static ad production in Canva. The agency provides briefs, dashboards, and full account access; you bring the technical craft, diagnostic thinking, and creative instinct to turn ad spend into qualified leads at target CPL.

What success looks like: Hitting CPL targets across all accounts, delivering weekly Loom reports that clients trust, and proactively briefing in new creative before accounts fatigue. By the end of week three, you'll be running the full book of 15-20 accounts independently. By month two, you'll be hitting CPL targets consistently and producing reporting that clients find genuinely useful.

Requirements

  • Excellent spoken and written English with strong, proactive communication skills
  • 3-5 years hands-on experience running Meta ads for lead generation businesses (not just e-commerce)
  • Expert-level proficiency in Meta Ads Manager including pixel setup, conversions API, attribution, custom audiences, and lookalikes
  • Property or service-based lead gen experience highly preferred
  • Proven track record of hitting and maintaining CPL targets across multiple accounts
  • Strong diagnostic thinking: ability to identify why one campaign works and another doesn't, and prioritise the highest-leverage work each day
  • Confident producing static ads in Canva and briefing creative concepts to a content team
  • Understanding of how creative connects to landing pages and broader funnel performance
  • Comfortable recording weekly Loom walkthroughs that tell the story of an account, not just read out numbers
  • Ability to self-manage account documentation, dashboards, and reporting workflows
  • Availability for full-time hours Monday to Friday with Melbourne business hour overlap
  • Responsiveness on Slack within working hours and active participation in daily standups and Friday team wrap-ups
  • Fast and reliable internet connection; your own laptop or desktop suitable for the role; a quiet working environment; a good quality microphone or headset
