Job Role: Brand Awareness, Digital Marketing & Content Designer 

Compensation range: $2000 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Our team combines design expertise with advanced production capabilities to deliver a wide range of custom branding materials, from indoor and outdoor displays to large-format graphics and promotional installations.

Role Overview: We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented specialist to drive our brand presence online. This role focuses on turning raw content (photos, videos, updates) into high-quality, engaging digital content that elevates our brand and keeps all platforms active and professional.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role, not a leadership position.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Build a strong, consistent, premium online brand presence
  • Increase engagement, reach, and visibility

Digital Marketing and Brand Management

  • Platform Management and Optimization:
    • Website
    • Google Business Profile
    • LinkedIn
    • Facebook / Instagram
    • TikTok
    • YouTube
  • Ensure Platform Compliance: Maintain active presence, uphold high visual quality standards, and ensure strict adherence to brand guidelines and consistency across all channels.

Content Generation (Primary Responsibility)

  • Development of Diverse Content:
    • Short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts)
    • Project documentation (before-and-after case studies)
    • Installation and process videography
    • Marketing and promotional assets
  • Post-Production and Editing: Transform raw footage into high-impact, engaging video content featuring compelling introductory hooks and seamless narrative flow.
  • Integration of Enhancements: Apply appropriate music, transitions, subtitles, and corporate branding elements.

Website Development & Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

  • Website Updates:
    • Initiate new projects.
    • Develop service-specific pages.
    • Generate blog-style content.
  • SEO Enhancement:
    • Optimize keywords.
    • Refine page structure.
    • Craft effective meta descriptions.
  • Continuous Improvement Metrics:
    • Increase website traffic.
    • Improve search engine rankings.
    • Enhance user experience.

Social Media & Online Execution

  • Schedule and publish content across platforms.
  • Repurpose content for various digital channels.
  • Ensure consistency and maintain a frequent publishing schedule.
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement necessary adjustments.

Design Support

  • Provide assistance to the Lead Designer with:
    • Preparation of signage proofs and layouts.
    • Execution of minor artwork modifications.
  • Prepare and dispatch client proofs.
  • Set up approved signage for printing.
  • Ensure adherence to standards in:
    • Accuracy of materials.
    • Professional presentation.
    • Prompt turnaround time.

Client Communication

  • Distribute client proofs.
  • Respond to design-related inquiries.
  • Maintain a professional tone in all communications.
  • Escalate complex issues as required.

Content Output Metrics

  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Three to five social media posts per week.
    • Two to four reels or short videos per week.
    • Daily updates to website imagery and content.
  • Consistency: Maintenance of a consistent posting schedule across all relevant platforms.

Content Quality Standards

  • Aesthetic and Engagement Criteria:
    • Adherence to a high visual standard.
    • Generation of strong audience engagement (e.g., likes, shares, comments).
  • Internal Review: Content is expected to elicit highly positive internal feedback (e.g., "This looks professional," "WOW").

Engagement and Growth Targets

  • Monthly Improvement: Demonstration of month-on-month growth in key metrics:
    • Follower count.
    • Reach.
    • Engagement rate.
  • Proactive Participation: Active involvement in strategies designed to enhance performance results.

Website Management and SEO

  • Update Frequency: Regular content updates, with a minimum frequency of weekly deployment.
  • Performance Uplift: Contribution to an increase in:
  • Website traffic volume.
  • Average time on site.
  • Measurable keyword rankings.
  • Maintenance: Responsibility for updating Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and images on the website.

Turnaround Time Expectations

  • Client Proofs: Submission of proofs is required on the same day or within a 24-hour window.
  • Content Edits: Edits to content must be executed with a swift turnaround, prioritized according to established operational needs.

Accuracy and Attention to Detail

  • Errors minimized in:
  • Spelling
  • Layouts
  • Client proofs
  • A high level of polish maintained in all outputs.

Communication Standards

  • Emails:
    • Clear, professional, and grammatically correct.
  • Response times:
    • Responses provided within agreed business hours.
  • Team feedback:
    • Demonstrated reliability, responsiveness, and collaborative effectiveness.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Essential:

Strong experience in:

  • Video editing (Reels, TikTok, Shorts)
  • Social media content creation
  • Website updates & creation
  • SEO fundamentals
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently

Highly Desirable:

  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Canva (fast content creation)
  • Experience with Australian clients
  • Understanding of branding and marketing strategy
  • Understanding of Ai processes via Chat GPT to create & manipulate content

Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
