Job Description

Christie Lites is one of the world’s leading stage lighting and rigging companies, with operations across the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, and expanding globally. With over $240M in world-class lighting assets across eleven warehouses, we serve the most respected names in live entertainment — from Bruce Springsteen and Guns N’ Roses to Morgan Wallen, Michael Bublé, and Mötley Crüe.

We are singularly focused: stage lighting and rigging. No audio, no video, no competition with our clients. That focus is our competitive advantage — and yours.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is not a transactional sales role. As a Christie Lites Rental Rep in Berlin, you are a trusted partner to your clients — building the kind of deep, durable relationships that win long-term business in the live events industry.

You will own a portfolio of client relationships in the German market, developing new business across concert touring, corporate events, trade shows, and theatrical productions. You set your own schedule, manage your own territory, and are backed by an international support team focused entirely on helping you succeed.

The right candidate is hungry, relationship-driven, and financially motivated. Christie Lites’ commission structure is built to reward top performers — the more you grow, the more you earn, with no ceiling.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and manage a portfolio of client relationships in Germany and the broader European market, focused on individual contacts — not companies
  • Proactively hunt for new business across concert touring, corporate events, trade shows, and theatrical productions
  • Influence product specification by developing strong technical knowledge of Christie Lites’ lighting inventory
  • Conduct site visits, attend productions, and meet clients in their own environment
  • Navigate complex stakeholder networks: Lighting Designers, Production Managers, Promoters, Band Management
  • Collaborate with internal Project Managers to deliver accurate quotes and winning proposals
  • Monitor your portfolio performance using quarterly commission reports and proactively identify growth opportunities
  • Invoice accurately and on time, supporting the Accounting team in timely collections
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor activity, and the German live events landscape

Requirements

Must-Haves:

  • 5+ years in relationship-based B2B sales, ideally within the live events, production, or entertainment technology industry
  • A strong existing network of contacts in the German or European live events market
  • Technical aptitude — you can hold your own in a conversation with a Lighting Designer or Production Manager
  • Experience managing long sales cycles (3–12 months) and high-value deals (€500K+)
  • Self-directed and independently motivated — you thrive without micromanagement
  • Willingness to travel approximately one week per month
  • Fluency in German and English

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Direct experience with stage lighting equipment or rigging
  • Existing relationships with Lighting Designers, Production Managers, or Promoters in the DACH region
  • Experience working with or for a lighting rental company

Benefits

  • 30 days paid holiday per year
  • Statutory pension (Gesetzliche Rentenversicherung – GRV)
  • Statutory sick pay
  • Reimbursed travel and sales expenses (some restrictions apply)
  • Work laptop provided
  • Microsoft Teams phone number provided
