Job Description

We're looking for a hands-on Email Marketing Specialist to own day-to-day retention execution in Klaviyo for a premium DTC accessories brand. Internal strategy and creative direction will be provided by the team. Your job is to turn those briefs into polished, on-brand emails and a retention system that drives repeat purchase.

This is an execution role, not a strategy role. You will draft copy, build designs in Klaviyo, implement and optimize lifecycle flows, execute campaigns, manage segmentation, maintain deliverability health, and run a consistent testing and reporting rhythm every single week. If you are a hands-on Klaviyo operator who can work within a brand voice that is warm, editorial, and premium without being stiff, this role is a strong fit.

Why You'll Want to Join

  • You will be paid in USD (bi-monthly: every 15th and 30th)
  • Paid Time Off in accordance with company policy
  • Observance of Holidays per company guidelines
  • 100% remote setup so you can work wherever you're most productive
  • Direct ownership over email and retention execution for a design-led DTC brand
  • Clear briefs, defined feedback loops, and a founder who is actively involved in brand direction

What You'll Work On

Email Campaign Execution

  • Draft email copy and assemble email designs in Klaviyo based on internal briefs
  • Build and schedule weekly campaigns aligned to the promotional calendar
  • Set up segmentation, exclusions, and send logic including recent purchasers, VIP, and lapsed windows
  • QA every send including links, personalization, dynamic blocks, mobile rendering, UTMs, and deliverability checks
  • Maintain a clean rolling campaign calendar covering four to six weeks at a time

Lifecycle Flow Ownership

  • Audit, build, and continuously optimize core flows including welcome series, browse abandon, cart and checkout abandon, post-purchase education and cross-sell, review request, winback, VIP, and back-in-stock or price drop flows where applicable
  • Maintain clear flow architecture and naming conventions
  • Run A/B tests on timing, subject lines, content blocks, and offer logic
  • Ensure flows reflect promotional guardrails and stay consistent with brand tone

Segmentation and Retention Logic

  • Maintain key segments including new subscribers, first-time buyers, repeat buyers, VIP, lapsed windows, and category interest
  • Own suppression logic and exclusions to avoid over-emailing and protect customer experience
  • Support personalization and dynamic content logic across Klaviyo

Deliverability and List Health

  • Monitor deliverability and list health including bounce rates, spam complaints, and open and click trends
  • Maintain list hygiene, suppression, and sunsetting programs
  • Recommend cadence adjustments to protect long-term deliverability

Reporting and Optimization

  • Deliver a weekly one-page report covering campaign results, flow results, key learnings, and next actions
  • Provide a monthly retention review covering flow contribution, segment performance, and a testing roadmap
  • Maintain a testing log documenting what was tested, results, and decisions made

What You Bring

  • 3 to 5+ years of email and lifecycle marketing experience in ecommerce or DTC
  • Strong Klaviyo mastery including flows, segmentation, dynamic content, reporting, and template builds
  • Ability to draft clean, on-brand email copy and build polished email layouts directly in Klaviyo
  • High QA discipline and operational rigor: you catch errors before they send, not after
  • Comfortable interpreting performance data and proposing clear next actions
  • Clear, reliable communicator who can execute within a fast weekly cadence
  • Sensitivity to premium and luxury-adjacent brand tone and aesthetics

Nice to Have

  • SMS experience in Klaviyo SMS, Attentive, or Postscript
  • Basic HTML familiarity for email module edits
  • Experience building retention calendars around promotional guardrails
  • Background in fashion, accessories, or lifestyle DTC brands

How to Apply

Please include:

  1. Your updated resume
  2. A short Loom video (1 to 2 minutes) walking through a Klaviyo flow or campaign you built, what the brief was, and what the result looked like in terms of performance

Only candidates who submit a Loom video will be moved to the next step of the hiring process.

If you are a precise, reliable Klaviyo operator who can bring brand briefs to life in the inbox and keep a retention system running cleanly week after week, this role gives you the ownership and the creative context to do your best work for a brand that takes quality seriously.
