We are sharing a specialised full-time W-2 opportunity for experienced hardware and product development professionals with strong backgrounds in technical program management, industrial design coordination, CMF execution, and cross-functional hardware development.
This role supports an exciting opportunity through Cincinnatus LLC, an enterprise staffing company that partners with leading technology companies to place highly skilled professionals into full-time and long-term contingent roles.
Selected professionals will partner with Industrial Design, Color Material Finish, and Product Design Engineering teams to support the definition and execution of next-generation hardware products, New Technology Introductions, and Special Edition products. This role is especially well-suited to program managers with strong experience in hardware development, CMF coordination, schedule management, and cross-functional execution across complex product environments.
Key Responsibilities
Professionals in this role may contribute to:
Industrial Design & CMF Program Coordination
Coordinate and drive Industrial Design deliverables including specifications, DOE, and validation plans across multiple concurrent projects
Advocate for the Industrial Design and CMF vision by partnering closely with cross-functional teams to ensure it is authentically represented throughout the product development process
Manage delivery of ID and CMF configurations for development builds and drive qualification to meet mass production timelines
Cross-Functional Program Management
Work with cross-functional teams including Industrial Design, CMF, SMEs, System Product Development, Reliability, and Operations to develop best practices and technology development processes
Manage communication within and across internal cross-functional teams
Contribute to resource planning to support overall program success
Schedule, Documentation & Execution Management
Create development, delivery, and qualification schedules based on program requirements, technical challenges, lead-times, and business needs
Manage program structure to optimize clarity and efficiency for program teams, leadership, and external customers
Communicate program status and identify potential setbacks, including vendor tooling schedules and CMF design sprints
Ensure program documents are complete, current, and available for staff and leadership review
Ideal Profile
Strong candidates may have:
7+ years of experience working in a mechanical engineering or industrial design field
Experience in first-party and/or second-party product development
Experience defining requirements and program constraints and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
Experience in colors, plastics or textiles color management, understanding of color palettes, managing color schedules, and communicating with ID and PD teams to keep projects on time
Strong ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, cross-functional product environments
Preferred qualifications
Experience working in big tech
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Experience in consumer electronics, hardware, or mechanical products
Strong familiarity with hardware development timelines, qualification processes, and production-readiness coordination
