[Job-28621] Principal DATA ARCHITECT (Strategy & Advisory), Brazil

 We are looking for a Principal Data Architect – Strategy & Advisory  to lead the architectural definition of a strategic data modernization initiative for a leading North American automotive organization.

This is a consultative and strategic role, responsible for defining the architecture, standards, and governance of a unified data platform (Single Source of Truth), while partner engineering teams execute the implementation.

What You Will Do

• Define the architecture of a modern data platform on AWS, based on Data Lake and Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
• Translate business needs into clear architectural decisions and technical specifications
• Lead the migration from fragmented legacy environments to a unified cloud platform
• Create governance and execution artifacts (data catalog, data models, business rules, data quality, ownership)
• Define standards for data pipelines (ingestion, transformation, orchestration using Airflow/Spark)
• Establish data governance models (centralized vs. federated / Data Mesh)
• Ensure the platform is AI/ML-ready, including support for MLOps and GenAI initiatives (RAG, embeddings, vector databases)
• Develop the architectural roadmap from current to target state with incremental value delivery
• Act as a bridge between business, engineering, and external partners

What We Are Looking For

• Strong experience in large-scale data architecture and technical leadership
• Proven experience with cloud modernization (AWS) and legacy data consolidation
• Solid expertise in data pipeline architecture and distributed processing (Spark, Airflow)
• Knowledge of data governance, Data Mesh, and data modeling
• Experience designing platforms that support AI/ML workloads and MLOps
• Ability to operate across strategic and operational levels, from high-level architecture to detailed specifications
• Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience with GenAI (LLMs, RAG, vector databases)
• Knowledge of design patterns and clean architecture principles
