Back-End Developer

Job Description

At TemperaturePro, we keep homes and businesses comfortable year round and we're building the technology that makes that happen smarter, faster, and more reliable. We're looking for a backend developer who enjoys solving real world problems and wants to see their code directly impact customers and technicians in the field.

You'll help power the systems behind scheduling, dispatch, customer experience, and smart HVAC services. That means building and improving APIs, working with data, and making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Some of your day-to-day might include:

Designing and building backend services and APIs

Improving performance, reliability, and scalability of our systems

Working closely with frontend developers, product, and operations teams

Integrating with third-party services (payments, IoT devices, scheduling tools)

Troubleshooting issues and continuously improving our platform

What We're Looking For

We care more about how you think and build than checking every box—but here's a general idea:

Experience building backend systems (Node.js, Python, Java, or similar)

Comfortable working with databases (SQL or NoSQL)

Familiar with REST APIs and modern web architecture

You write clean, maintainable code and care about performance

You're curious, collaborative, and like solving problems that actually matter
