The Job

Omnidian is seeking a Director of Commercial Enterprise Sales - East to drive recurring revenue growth through high-value Asset Management service agreements. This role will focus on owners and investors of distributed generation (DG), community solar and energy storage portfolios across the U.S., targeting sites up to ~ 20 MW in capacity.

Reporting to the VP of Commercial Enterprise Sales, you will act as a strategic advisor and technical conduit, translating complex portfolio performance needs into scalable Omnidian solutions.

What You'll Do

Enterprise Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Full-Cycle Sales: Source and grow a robust pipeline by originating new prospects and expanding existing accounts with developers/IPPs, corporates, and institutional investors; manage the process from initial prospecting and pricing/proposals through to deal negotiation, contracting and initial onboarding.
  • Strategic Growth: Develop tailored sales strategies for the DG segment, leveraging a consultative approach to meet aggressive revenue and expansion targets.
  • Events: Represent Omnidian at industry conferences, client meetings, and events.
  • Contracting: Support key sales agreements, such as project RFPs, MSAs, and System Enrollment Forms (SEFs)
  • Pipeline Excellence: Maintain rigorous CRM hygiene to provide accurate forecasting and market intelligence to senior leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, Operations and key stakeholders to refine scopes of work that align with evolving industry market & policy demands.
  • Account & Alliance Management
  • Portfolio Expansion: Manage and grow existing DG accounts, ensuring high client satisfaction and "raving fan" status through Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Voice of Customer (VOC) initiatives.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for complex B2B financial and technical asset management service and O&M agreements, payment structures, and legal terms while protecting company interests.
  • Internal Alignment: Communicate contractual obligations clearly to Finance, Operations and Legal teams to ensure seamless service delivery to commercial clients.

  • Who You Are
You are a technical sales leader who understands the "why" behind asset performance. You don't just sell services; you solve financial and operational friction for large-scale investors.

    Experience You’ll Need
  • Technical Foundation: 5–10+ years of experience in driving strategic sales or business development – ideally in solar & storage (PV + BESS) asset management, project development, or a related operations & maintenance (O&M) operations, analytics or management role.
  • Sector Expertise: Advanced understanding of distributed generation project development, performance analytics, reporting, guarantees and the C&I investment landscape. Experience or depth-of-knowledge in community solar project development, asset management and current market expansion. Robust industry-wide network.
  • Sales Track Record: Demonstrated success in closing complex deals with developers/IPPs, corporates, asset owners or investors and navigating multi-stakeholder purchasing decisions.
  • Analytical Rigor: Ability to process portfolio data, draw insightful conclusions, and communicate them articulately to C-suite executives.
  • Work Environment: Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, remote-first growth-stage environment with cross-functional interaction as mandatory.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion: Passion for clean energy, sustainability, and driving positive environmental impact through technology innovation and performance.
