Job Description

Shopventory DBA Thrive Inventory exists to help businesses thrive by offering the analytics and optimization tools they need to make informed decisions. We're a total business solution, from ordering and receiving, to inventory controls, sales reporting and more.

We've been around for over ten years, privately held, and have built a great team. We collaborate and communicate in a remote work setting, and our HQ is in Denver, Colorado.

We are a relaxed, fun team of committed people with small egos who really enjoy working together and making a difference to business owners all over the world. We are led by our core values of Integrity, creativity, passion, and being a Team Player. Created by owners for owners, Thrive remains committed to offering powerful tools for merchants of all sizes around the world.

As a Shopventory Account Executive, you'll be responsible for chasing down new opportunities wherever they may be. This will come in the form of nurturing inbound opportunities, calling new prospects, and working with management to create new outbound channels.

Your day-to-day will involve providing product demos to qualified opportunities via phone and Google Meets / Zoom, managing your sales funnel to ensure your accounts make it over the finish line and turn into happy customers, and calling leads to help generate your personal top-of-funnel.

Requirements

We are seeking an Account Executive (AE) who embodies a growth mindset, constantly striving for personal and professional development. In this role, you will view adversity as an opportunity to think critically, problem-solve, and enhance your understanding of the sales domain. Our consultative approach is at the core of our mission to help SMBs achieve their business objectives and propel their growth. As an AE, you'll bring a positive attitude and a collaborative approach to every interaction with existing and prospective Shopventory customers, aiming to delight them consistently. Scaling and expanding this customer-centric sales methodology is your ambition. If you are motivated by the prospect of contributing to the growth of both our customers and our business, this role offers an exciting opportunity for you.

The Ideal Candidate:

Perfect isn't possible, we know that. You'll struggle at first and make mistakes, but that's why we're looking to train and develop passionate people. Here are the traits we're looking for:

  • You have experience managing a sales pipeline. Working accounts through a traditional SaaS sales funnel will be a large portion of your job.
  • You have experience working at a SaaS company. This is not a requirement, but a nice-to-have.
  • You’re up on cutting-edge industry best practices and innovative tools. We want team members that look at an existing process, identify ways to improve them, and follow through with execution on those ideas.
  • You’re used to high-volume sales positions. Your success will depend on your ability to connect with as many businesses as you can in a day. We have a fast paced, but thoughtful and consultative sales process.
  • You have superior oral and written communication skills - You will spend most of your time on the phone and emailing. The ability to deliver ideas in a compelling but concise way is necessary.
  • You can interpret the language of others to understand what they truly mean - You're a good listener. You can read between the lines to know the appropriate response to give.
  • You want a position and a team where you can innovate on an individual level. If you see a way to save time and increase productivity, it’s all you.
  • You have 2+ years in sales positions.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience working in small teams
  • SaaS sales experience
  • Spanish speaking
  • Experience creating sales collateral (one sheets, pitch decks, etc)
