Lead RPA Engineer (Automation & Integration)

  • Hire Overseas

Job Description

We're looking for an Lead RPA Engineer who can build and maintain production automations, lead a small team of RPA specialists, and set the standard for how the team communicates and executes. This is a hands-on technical leadership role inside a fast-moving AI-native healthcare platform. You will not be managing from a distance. You will be in the work alongside your team while also owning cross-functional stakeholder relationships across engineering, operations, and product.

The platform is tackling some of the deepest administrative inefficiencies in American healthcare, and automation is central to how it delivers care at scale. If you are a technically strong RPA practitioner who also knows how to lead a team, keep communication clean under pressure, and drive process improvements without being asked, this role is built for you.

Why You'll Want to Join

  • You will be paid in USD (bi-monthly: every 15th and 30th)
  • Up to 14 days of Paid Time Off annually (starting Day 1)
  • Observance of Holidays per company guidelines
  • 100% remote setup so you can work wherever you're most productive
  • Direct ownership over the RPA function and the team delivering it
  • High-visibility role with cross-functional exposure across engineering, operations, and product

What You'll Work On

Bot Development and Technical Ownership

  • Build, deploy, and maintain production automations on a modern GUI-based RPA platform
  • Design bots with failure in mind so issues are visible, traceable, and debuggable rather than silent
  • Map current-state processes clearly before building and keep documentation current as workflows evolve
  • Connect automations to external systems via APIs and webhooks with proper error and failure handling
  • Own the technical quality bar across everything the team ships

Triage, Troubleshooting, and Reliability

  • Diagnose and resolve complex bot failures end to end without escalating prematurely
  • Isolate root causes quickly and validate fixes before closing issues
  • Maintain incident logs and resolution summaries that support consistent, repeatable execution
  • Set the triage standard for the team and ensure misreads are caught before they cascade

Team Leadership and People Management

  • Lead a small team of RPA specialists with clear direction, accountability, and support
  • Provide technical guidance, code and workflow reviews, and hands-on coaching
  • Create an environment where ownership is expected and communication is proactive
  • Model the "so what and what's next" communication standard for the entire team

Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management

  • Manage communication across the RPA team, engineering, and operations clearly and consistently
  • Keep stakeholders informed during testing cycles and high-noise periods without creating confusion
  • Translate technical status into plain language updates that busy non-technical stakeholders can act on in seconds
  • Escalate thoughtfully and with full context when situations require leadership input

Process Improvement and Documentation

  • Spot inefficiencies across the team's workflows and drive fixes through to completion
  • Build and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and process maps that the team can follow and build on
  • Apply error handling and logging best practices across all team builds
  • Continuously raise the execution and documentation standard across the function

What You Bring

  • 4+ years of hands-on RPA experience building and maintaining production automations
  • Proven track record of diagnosing and resolving complex bot failures independently end to end
  • Experience leading or informally managing a small technical team
  • Fluency in cross-functional stakeholder communication across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong process improvement mindset: you spot inefficiencies and drive fixes rather than just flagging them
  • Communication clarity at a notably high bar: you set the tone for how the team communicates up and out
  • High accountability and ownership: you close the loop proactively and expect the same from your team
  • Strong attention to detail, especially in triage, where misreads cascade quickly across automation workflows
  • Solid understanding of API and webhook integrations including error handling and failure patterns

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in healthcare, healthtech, or a regulated operational environment
  • Familiarity with platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate, or similar
  • Exposure to AI-assisted or intelligent automation workflows
  • Scripting knowledge in Python or similar languages
  • Experience using monitoring or observability tools in production environments

How to Apply

Please include:

  1. Your updated resume
  2. A short Loom video (1 to 2 minutes) walking through a specific automation you led or a team situation where you had to manage communication and execution under pressure, what the challenge was, how you handled it, and what the outcome was

Only candidates who submit a Loom video will be moved to the next step of the hiring process.

If you are a technically strong RPA practitioner who knows how to lead a team, set a high communication standard, and drive automation work that directly impacts how healthcare gets delivered, this role gives you the ownership and the environment to do your best work.
