Job Description

This role will drive Aledade’s strategy for national health information exchange, serving as the primary business and industry-facing counterpart for product, business, and policy teams engaged with Health Information Exchanges (HIEs), Carequality, CommonWell, and the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA). You will represent Aledade in standards groups and network governance bodies to advance interoperable data exchange in the context of value-based care (VBC). You will partner with senior business, policy, and technology leaders to shape Aledade's market agenda, influencing regulators, vendors, and strategic business partners to resolve challenges in payer-provider interoperability and AI standards adoption. You will own the strategic roadmap for network participation, provide guidance to the technology roadmap, and negotiate business deals to advance Aledade’s connectivity with HIEs, payers, vendors, and more. You will ensure Aledade remains a leader in the evolving national interoperability landscape and achieves greater continuity of patient data across its VBC platform.

Champion National HIE Participation: Define and champion the long-term vision for Aledade’s participation in TEFCA, Carequality, and CommonWell. Identify the optimal network participation strategy to support Aledade’s business goals and clinical performance, inclusive of evaluating partnership opportunities, market/policy developments, and high-value use cases, such as treatment workflows and HEDIS reporting. Assist in defining measurement strategies, new workflows, go-to-market strategies, and opportunities to advance Aledade’s leadership in health information exchange.

Drive Internal Alignment: Act as the primary liaison between legal, business, policy, product, and technology to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable product and business strategies, ensuring alignment with Aledade’s VBC model and technology roadmap. Act as a subject matter expert to internal teams on evolving data exchange standards, market developments, and network/HIT regulatory requirements. Assist with prioritization decisions, goal setting, and building business cases for new investments. Communicate regularly with stakeholders across the organization for purposes of decision making and strategic alignment.

Influence HIT Policy & Lead Industry Strategy: Actively monitor relevant HIT policy, standards, and regulatory developments to ensure adequate planning for technology and operational investments.  Represent Aledade to national and regional health information exchange governance, trade group and standards bodies (e.g., NCQA, ONC, HL7, HIMSS, Carequality) to influence rulemaking and advocate for network standards and trust frameworks that support value-based care and primary care outcomes. Attend trade groups and source demonstration opportunities to increase Aledade’s influence in Health Information Exchange, source new business opportunities, and synthesize key market trends.

Lead Strategic Interoperability Initiatives & Partnerships: Lead the end-to-end execution of complex interoperability initiatives, including onboarding Aledade’s network of primary care practices, payers, and data partners to TEFCA. Manage strategic relationships with HIEs, EHR vendors, consultants and payers to resolve data-exchange blockers and drive the adoption of more standards-based interoperability in value-based care. Facilitate evaluation and lead planning for key accreditation or certification processes involving our technology stack, e.g. NCQA DAV.
