Hourly Inc

Growth Marketing Specialist

  • Hourly Inc

Job Description

Your primary mission is growing our insurance agent and broker channel. We sell payroll, workers’ comp, BOP, and cyber insurance through independent agents—and marketing’s job is to help sales recruit new agents, activate the ones we have, and re-engage agencies that have gone dormant. You’ll build and run the campaigns that make all three happen.

This means LinkedIn ads targeting agents, personalized outreach at scale using Clay, email nurture sequences in Brevo, tradeshow follow-up campaigns, content that helps agents sell, and the analytics to prove what’s working. You’re not managing a mature machine—you’re building it from the ground up with a six-figure paid media budget and a direct line to the VP of Marketing.

This is a small team with no middle management. You’ll work directly with the VP of Marketing, who sets strategy and priorities, and the marketing designers who produce the creative. We use AI tools extensively—Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini—to draft copy, analyze data, research competitors, and automate repetitive work. We expect you to be fluent with these tools already.

Why This Role

  • Own the growth engine: You’re building the marketing machine that feeds the agent channel from scratch. A serious paid media budget, a full email platform, prospecting tools, and a designer to support you—but the playbook is yours to write.
  • Clear mission, measurable impact: Agent recruitment, activation, and re-engagement. You’ll see exactly how your campaigns translate to appointed agents, submitted policies, and revenue.
  • Autonomy with support: The VP sets direction; you decide how to execute. No one micromanages your ad account or rewrites your emails.
  • Growth: As the combined company scales, you’re positioned to build and lead a marketing function—not just fill a seat in one.
  • Modern toolkit: AI tools, Clay for personalization, Brevo for email, Domo for BI. You’ll work with current-generation tools, not legacy stacks.

What You’ll Do

Everything you do ladders up to the agent channel. Here’s how:

  • Agent Recruitment (Paid + Outreach): Run LinkedIn ad campaigns targeting independent insurance agents and brokers to drive agent recruitment for the sales team. Use Clay for personalized 1:1 outreach at scale. Coordinate with sales on targeting, messaging, and lead handoff. Manage the annual paid media budget across LinkedIn and supporting channels. Report on spend, cost per appointed agent, and ROAS weekly.
  • Agent Activation & Enablement: Build email campaigns and automated nurture sequences in Brevo that help newly appointed agents submit their first policies—for workers’ comp, BOP, cyber, and payroll. Create and distribute content that helps agents sell (product comparison sheets, objection handling, market insights). Coordinate with the designer on agent-facing collateral.
  • Dormant Agency Re-engagement: Build segmented campaigns targeting lapsed or inactive agencies. Work with sales to identify re-engagement triggers and develop multi-touch sequences (email + LinkedIn + direct outreach) that bring agencies back into the pipeline.
  • Tradeshow & Event Marketing: Own pre-event promotion, lead capture workflows, and post-event follow-up sequences for 6+ annual tradeshows and industry events. Coordinate with sales on booth messaging and collateral needs.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Own marketing dashboards tracking the agent funnel: recruitment → appointment → first submission → GWP. Track campaign performance by channel. Set up and maintain UTM structures and attribution. Produce weekly/biweekly reports for leadership and sales.
  • LinkedIn & Content: Manage LinkedIn presence for both brands, focused on agent-relevant content. Optimize website pages and blog content for search. Maintain the content publishing calendar.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and spoken English—you’ll be writing copy, presenting reports, and communicating daily with US-based leadership and sales
  • 3–6 years of experience in B2B digital marketing with hands-on campaign execution (not just strategy or oversight)
  • Demonstrated experience managing LinkedIn Ads campaigns, including budget management, audience targeting, and performance reporting
  • Hands-on experience building email campaigns and automated sequences in Brevo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar
  • Strong analytics skills: comfortable building dashboards, tracking funnel metrics, and calculating CAC/ROAS
  • Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM—you’ll own marketing attribution setup, campaign tracking, lead source hygiene, and reporting in partnership with our Salesforce admin
  • Ability to write clear, concise B2B marketing copy in English (emails, ad copy, agent-facing content)
  • Comfortable using AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) as everyday work tools
  • Based in Colombia with reliable internet and a professional remote setup
