Job Description

We are sharing a specialised remote opportunity for experienced Python Software Engineers to support a leading AI research lab in improving how advanced AI systems understand real-world software engineering workflows and production-grade Python systems.

This project focuses on applying professional software engineering expertise to design domain-specific tasks, evaluate AI-generated outputs, and contribute insights that improve AI reasoning in Python system design, software architecture, and production engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

Create domain-specific tasks and deliverables based on real-world Python software engineering workflows
Evaluate AI-generated code and technical explanations for accuracy, clarity, and engineering best practices
Review peer-developed deliverables to improve quality and consistency
Identify gaps or inaccuracies in AI reasoning related to Python development and software architecture
Provide structured feedback to improve AI understanding of real-world software engineering practices
Apply consistent evaluation frameworks to produce high-quality technical review outputs

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

Experience working as a Software Engineer at top technology companies
Proven experience building production-grade Python systems used in real-world environments
Strong understanding of Python language fundamentals and advanced features
Experience with decorators, generators, async/await, context managers, and performance optimization
Experience designing modular, testable, and scalable codebases
Familiarity with modern Python frameworks and tooling such as FastAPI, Pydantic, type hints, dependency injection, and testing frameworks
Strong analytical thinking and excellent written communication skills

Nice to Have:

Experience designing distributed systems or backend services
Experience working with performance optimization and profiling tools
Experience building developer frameworks or internal tools
