About the Role

We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer (Virtual Contractor) to play a key role in building and scaling the client's estimating platform. Reporting directly to the CTO and collaborating closely with the engineering team, this role involves developing core product features, improving system performance, and contributing to the platform’s architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack features using Node.js, Express, tRPC, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Design, implement, and manage database architecture using PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and modern ORMs.
• Build and enhance responsive and scalable frontend components using React and modern UI best practices.
• Collaborate on cloud infrastructure management including Railway, AWS, CDNs, caching, and object storage.
• Integrate backend services with scalable cloud-based systems and infrastructure.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor and GitHub Copilot to improve development efficiency.
• Develop applications using Claude Code in combination with human-driven architecture decisions.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architectural discussions.
• Work closely with the engineering team and CTO to ensure high-quality, scalable product releases.
• Contribute to improving the overall system architecture and product performance as the platform scales.

Requirements

• English (C1/C2) and Spanish.
• Strong backend development experience with Node.js, Express, tRPC, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Solid frontend development skills with React and modern UI development practices.
• Tools: Node.js, Express, tRPC, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Railway, AWS, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Git, CI/CD tools
• Quiet home office, stable internet (≥ 10 Mbps down / 2 Mbps up), and backup connection.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred.
