Job Description

We’re looking for a highly analytical, systems-minded strategic Financial Analyst to serve as the financial architect of a growing private club organization.

This is not a transactional accounting role. You will operate as a high-level individual contributor responsible for building financial clarity, modernizing reporting systems, and partnering with operational leaders to drive disciplined, data-driven decisions.

You will report directly to executive leadership and provide structured financial insights that support long-term sustainability, capital planning, and operational performance. The goal is to transition from reactive reporting to a structured, systems-first operating model.

What You’ll Work On

Strategic FP&A and Business Partnering

• Build and formalize a structured monthly reporting package including full financial statements and department-level Budget versus Actual reports
• Partner with department leaders to extract operational data and standardize reporting workflows
• Develop scenario models to guide pricing, membership, and program decisions
• Provide board-ready financial presentations and insights

Capital Planning and Project Oversight

• Manage multi-year capital expenditure budgets
• Oversee project-level cash flow tracking and variance analysis
• Review vendor contracts and monitor milestone-based spending
• Maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast to ensure liquidity planning

Financial Integrity and Systems Leadership

• Maintain audit-ready financial records and oversee tax compliance coordination
• Monitor loan covenant compliance and lender reporting requirements
• Serve as internal systems lead for club management and accounting software
• Improve data integrity across POS and accounting systems
• Identify and automate manual reconciliation processes

Risk and Insurance Oversight

• Lead annual insurance renewal processes
• Partner with brokers to evaluate coverage and cost impact
• Analyze premium shifts and their effect on the operating budget

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in strategic finance or FP&A
• Experience in recurring revenue environments such as membership models, subscriptions, SaaS, or similar
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling expertise
• Strong understanding of three-statement financial reporting
• Experience building financial systems or reporting infrastructure from scratch
• Ability to translate operational data into executive-level insights
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort presenting to senior leadership or board-level stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience in private clubs, hospitality, or service-based organizations
• Familiarity with club management or POS accounting systems
• Experience managing capital projects or multi-year budgets
• Background improving financial workflows through automation
