Network and Computer Systems Administrator -Journeyman

Job Description

Saalex is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator in Camarillo, CA.  Saalex Corp., is an Engineering and Information Technology Services company with a focus on Test Range Operations and Management, Engineering and Logistics Services, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Services and Information Technology Services.

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $110k annually (depending on experience)

Work Location:  Remote.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and sustainment of server and domain infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate will monitor and manage systems to ensure optimal performance and plan for future growth and enhancements. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Plan, design, and implement server and domain infrastructure systems to meet organizational needs.
• Maintain systems certifications related to server operating systems (e.g., Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate).
• Maintain security certifications, including CompTIA Security+ for Intermediate and CASP+ for Advanced levels.
• Present system integration and upgrade plans to management and technical leadership.
• Manage and ensure compliance with server security requirements and information security protocols.
• Implement necessary hardware and software upgrades.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and sustainment tasks for server systems and associated services.
• Maintain thorough documentation of server systems, including configurations and diagrams.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, researching new systems, architectures, and technologies.
• Manage domain services including DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, and Group Policies.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

Required:

• Demonstrate proficiency in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix) including planning, deployment, and management.
• Experience with implementing necessary hardware and software upgrades.
• Able to perform maintenance, repairs, and sustainment tasks for server systems and associated services.
• Experience maintaining thorough documentation of server systems, including configurations and diagrams.
• Experience managing domain services including DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, and Group Policies.

Security Clearance:

Active Top Secret clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
