Relectrify

Technical Business Development Manager, Battery Energy Storage (BESS)

  • Relectrify

Job Description

At Relectrify, we're on a mission to engineer the future of battery energy storage. Relectrify is commercialising a breakthrough Battery Energy Storage platform that unlocks significantly more usable energy from every battery cell.

With the launch of the AC1 BESS in Australia, we are accelerating market adoption across C&I, distribution and microgrid applications, and we’re looking for a commercially driven Technical Business Development Manager with deep experience in energy storage to lead that expansion.

Our core values fuel and motivate our work:

  • Prioritise what matters most: We strive to work with clear objectives and understand why they are the right goals to pursue.
  • Think critically: We base our decisions on informed, open-minded evaluations, not on hierarchy or gut feelings.
  • Be decisive: We prioritise action and continuously move forward, adapting as new data becomes available.
  • Quality and elegance in everything: We put in the effort to distil complexity and make things as clear and impactful as possible.
  • Collaborate or fail: We seek to work with those who excel and recognise that partnerships are essential to our success.
  • Get jobs done: We focus on the core task – the job to be done – and we aren’t content until we’ve achieved the desired outcome.

We embrace diverse experiences to fuel our collective success, ensuring everyone can do their best work.

  • Develop technical proposals and cost-benefit analyses in collaboration with the solutions team.
  • Provide expert input into project feasibility, configuration, and system optimisation.

Technical Sales & Contract Execution

  • Support and lead contract negotiations for assigned accounts.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders during proposal development, negotiation, and contract finalisation.
  • Manage technical schedules, scope alignment, and commercial risk.
  • Collaborate with channel partners and EPCs to optimise project cost
  • Ensure smooth transition from sales to project delivery.

Business Development & Market Growth

  • Develop and manage pipeline across developers, EPCs and C&I clients.
  • Establish strong, repeatable customer relationships.
  • Contribute to market strategy and provide customer insights.
  • Gather practical product feedback to support continuous product improvement.

You will work alongside internal teams and become an expert on Relectrify’s technology and its applications. You will use that expertise to influence customer project design and convey the CellSwitch® benefits and added value.
