AI Strategy and Automation Engineer (Remote)

Job Description

As an AI Strategy & Automation Engineer, you will build and implement practical AI-driven solutions that support LegalMatch’s growth and operations. This role focuses on developing reliable automations, integrating AI tools into business workflows, and delivering scalable solutions with guidance from senior team members. You will help reduce manual work, improve efficiency, and enable teams to leverage AI effectively in their daily tasks. 

Your responsibilities include:

• Building and maintaining automation systems using Python and JavaScript to streamline business processes across marketing, intake, support, and sales 
• Developing, testing, and improving automation workflows using Python and other programming languages to deliver reliable solutions quickly. 
• Integrating AI tools (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, Grok) into internal systems and workflows. 
• Connecting to and working with external APIs to retrieve, process, and use data for automation and reporting. 
• Building and maintaining prompt templates or reusable components for common AI tasks. 
• Troubleshooting issues, debugging failures, and improving the reliability of automation systems. 
• Monitoring automation performance and making improvements to ensure consistent operation. 
• Translating business requirements into practical technical solutions with guidance from senior team members.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams via email and MS Teams to understand needs and deliver solutions. 
• Documenting solutions and supporting knowledge sharing to help teams adopt AI tools effectively. 
• Staying informed about new AI tools and testing relevant solutions for LegalMatch’s use cases. 

Requirements

• Strong Python and Javascript experience building real-world automations or backend scripts. 
• Hands-on experience integrating AI tools (e.g., OpenAI or similar) into applications or workflows. 
• Experience connecting to and working with different APIs, including handling data exchange and errors. 
• Comfortable debugging issues and improving system reliability. 
• Experience developing automation workflows using scripting or automation platforms. 
• Basic understanding of cloud deployment and monitoring (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar). 
• Background working with structured and unstructured data. 
• Ability to own tasks from requirements to deployment with guidance. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders. 

Nice to Have (Not Required): 

• Experience with workflow automation tools or low-code platforms 
• Exposure to cost optimization or scalability considerations 
• Experience documenting technical solutions
