Role Overview

Following the execution of the initial cloud contract, the Client Delivery Manager (CDM) serves as the primary SAP Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) contact for the client. You will assume end-to-end accountability for the engagement to deliver contracted RISE services, including RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud (Private Edition) and Cloud Application Services (CAS). As a trusted advisor, the CDM oversees all aspects of the customer engagement—from contract signature throughout the entire lifecycle—providing commercial, project, and operations expertise.

Key Responsibilities

1. Relationship Management & Trusted Advisory

  • Develop and grow the client relationship by understanding their specific needs.

  • Package solutions that drive measurable business value and serve as a trusted advisor to the customer.

  • Act as the "Voice of the Client" within SAP and serve as the primary point of contact for escalations and engagement operations.

  • Plan and drive regular engagement with the customer to ensure clear direction and alignment.

2. Delivery Excellence & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead the customer engagement and ensure seamless alignment across multiple internal and external stakeholders, including SAP Product Support, ECS Partners, and System Integrators.

  • Host regular status and governance meetings with customers and the extended SAP account team.

  • Take accountability for ECS service delivery excellence by consistently meeting customer commitments.

  • Lead and own all engagement-planning and program-planning activities.

3. Commercial & Transformation Success

  • Initiate commercial success by avoiding service credits and seeking improvement opportunities for upsells.

  • Engage sales and pre-sales teams when potential pursuit opportunities are identified.

  • Align SAP services to achieve the customers digital transformation strategy and goals.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical & Professional Background

  • Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent.

  • SAP Expertise: Proven experience in SAP Technology/Basis, application implementation, and/or operations.

  • Infrastructure Knowledge: Technical infrastructure know-how and a deep understanding of virtualized system landscapes are critical for this role.

  • Consulting/PM: Experience as an SAP Consultant or SAP Project Manager with strong stakeholder management capabilities.

Work Experience

  • Customer Facing: 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing role.

  • Project Management: Minimum of one year of experience in project management.

  • Service Delivery: 3+ years of experience in SAP Basis and/or infrastructure operations, development, or Application Managed Services (AMS).

Soft Skills

  • Communication: Excellent customer and escalation management skills.

  • C-Level Interaction: Ability to present to and communicate with C-Level executives, including the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Influence: Proven ability to work on projects involving senior management to influence and drive customer success.

  • Languages: Fluency in English
