Job Description

About ITRex

THE PLACE

ITRex - AI pioneers who build systems that actually work in the real world, not just in demos. We're 200+ people spread across the US and Europe, creating solutions for companies like P&G and Shutterstock. We keep it simple, build it right, and focus on what works.

THE PEOPLE

We're the kind of people who don't ignore messages in Slack, who jump in to help when you're stuck on a problem, and who offer solutions instead of blame when things go sideways. We believe in openness, accountability, and having each other's backs. No office politics, no hidden agendas - just people who care about doing good work together and supporting each other to get there.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join a long-term healthcare product for the U.S. market. The platform includes web and mobile applications, integrates with third-party healthcare systems, and requires high standards of reliability, security, and usability.

You will work closely with engineering teams, Product Owner, and stakeholders, taking ownership of web, mobile, and API quality across the full release cycle.

Additionally, this role offers excellent visibility and recognition for your work, as you will directly contribute to a mission-driven healthcare product with measurable impact on patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual testing of web, API, and mobile applications
  • Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive Test Documentation
  • Use AI tools as part of the QA toolkit to enhance test coverage and efficiency
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure product quality
  • Define and establish QA processes and best practices for new projects
  • Act as the sole QA when required, owning the end-to-end testing process
  • Contribute as part of a QA team, ensuring alignment with shared goals and standards
  • Work with product requirements together with the team during backlog refinement
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and provide input on quality-related risks

Requirements

Technical Skills

  • 3+ years of hands-on QA experience
  • Strong experience in manual testing across multiple platforms: Web applications, APIs (REST, GraphQL, etc.), Mobile applications (iOS/Android)
  • Experience working with traffic sniffers / proxy tools such as Charles Proxy, Fiddler, Proxyman, etc
  • Proficiency with AI tools integrated into QA workflows (e.g., AI-assisted test case generation, automated defect detection, or exploratory testing support)
  • Ability to design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test documentation
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and test management systems (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr)
  • Understanding of SDLC and QA’s role within Agile, Scrum, or Kanban environments

Business & Collaboration

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to convey information clearly and concisely
  • Product-oriented and collaborative mindset, effective in Agile cross-functional environments
  • Strong attention to detail and ownership of quality
  • Ability to stay effective under deadlines and production pressure
  • Self-driven and proactive, able to operate independently within a defined framework
  • English proficiency: Upper-intermediate and above

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the Healthcare domain (HIPAA awareness is a plus)
  • Experience working with n8n (workflow automation tool)
  • Basic knowledge of performance and security testing tools.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML model validation and testing
