Rankings Io

Site Architecture SEO Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-obsessed Site Architecture SEO Specialist to join our development team, focused on structuring, migrating, and implementing site architecture for new law firm website builds. This role specializes in content categorization, page relationships, sitemap accuracy, and functional consistency across WordPress environments.

You will be responsible for executing one-to-one sitemap comparisons, migrating and structuring content using Rankings Content Helper Post Updater (RIOCH), and implementing clean, consistent page hierarchies, taxonomies, and sidebar relationships in development environments. The goal is to ensure every site launches with a logical, scalable architecture that supports usability, SEO, and long-term growth.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys clean, systematic work and takes pride in precision. Small inconsistencies in hierarchy, URLs, or relationships don’t go unnoticed by you — and fixing them is part of the satisfaction.

At Rankings.io, we help elite law firms dominate first-page search rankings. That starts with strong site architecture. This role ensures that page structures, relationships, and functional presentation are implemented accurately and consistently across all new builds, directly impacting SEO performance, user experience, and brand trust for every client we serve.

Responsibilities

Content Structuring & Site Cleanup

  • Use Rankings Content Helper Post Updater (RIOCH) to organize and update page structures on law firm websites.
  • Leverage AI and automation to convert site content to the rankings theme. This includes assigning page types, categories, locations, and parent/child hierarchies for pages in large WordPress installs.
  • Perform one-to-one sitemap comparisons, flag discrepancies, and ensure consistent slug structures across sites.
  • Use Gutenberg Blocks to convert legacy content to block-based layouts, adding TOC, FAQ, video, CTA, and badges blocks as needed.
  • Clean HTML when necessary, removing outdated inline styling, unneeded badges, and ensuring consistent brand presentation.

Quality Assurance (QA) Using Bugherd

  • Use Bugherd to log and resolve QA feedback during development, ensuring clean typography, color consistency, spacing, and responsive functionality across devices.
  • Resolve on-page issues related to page layout and design.
  • Perform QA checks on desktop, tablet, and mobile, ensuring consistent cross-device performance.

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Collaborate with developers and designers to ensure updates are implemented correctly and efficiently.
  • Track and report completed tasks, maintaining organized records in ClickUp, Bugherd, and Google Sheets.
  • Flag “Needs Review” items for SEO or account team confirmation.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with team members, ensuring projects move forward on schedule.

Requirements

  • Experience with WordPress (Gutenberg preferred), including working with custom post types, taxonomies, and structured page hierarchies.
  • Working knowledge of on-site SEO principles, including URL structure, internal linking, content hierarchy, metadata, and how site architecture impacts search performance.
  • Familiarity with Rankings Content Helper Post Updater (RIOCH), or willingness to learn and use structured spreadsheets and tools to manage large-scale content implementation.
  • Comfortable performing one-to-one sitemap comparisons and ensuring accurate URL, slug, and parent/child consistency during migrations.
  • Detail-obsessed — you notice structural inconsistencies others miss and take pride in clean, precise implementation.
  • Ability to perform QA using Bugherd or similar tools, including checks for layout consistency, accessibility best practices, and responsive behavior across devices.
  • Understanding of typography, spacing, and visual consistency within established brand guidelines.
  • Ability to work independently while following detailed SOPs and structured workflows.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus, but this is not a coding role.

Benefits

  • Starting Salary $55k
  • Work remotely from home
  • Flexible PTO
  • 401(k) with 3% employer match (Safe Harbor)
  • 100% health insurance (including fully employer-funded coverage)
