About Our Client

Our client is a growing U.S.-based consumer products e-commerce company specializing in private-label products sold across major online marketplaces including Amazon, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes, Wayfair, and Overstock, as well as select broker-dealers.

The company operates in competitive product categories and relies heavily on structured marketplace research, data accuracy, and competitor intelligence to drive listing optimization and revenue growth.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Virtual Marketplace Data Analyst to support the Amazon listing optimization team.

This is a research-intensive, process-driven role focused on structured competitor analysis, SKU research workflows, and marketplace data accuracy. The ideal candidate enjoys deep data work, thrives in Excel, and understands Amazon marketplace dynamics.

This is a highly execution-focused position requiring precision, consistency, and strong documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build comprehensive and accurate competitor sets for assigned SKUs using Helium 10 (Cerebro + Xray).
  • Identify core search terms to ensure complete competitor coverage across primary keywords.
  • Export Xray data into Excel, consolidate competitor pulls, and remove duplicates to maintain clean datasets.
  • Review competitor listings to capture key purchase-driving attributes, including:
    • Variants (size, color, material)
    • Differentiators and USPs
    • Included components
    • Technical specifications
  • Use Keepa to record:
    • Historical pricing trends
    • Monthly and seasonal sales data
    • Seller type (1P / 3P / FBM)
    • Buy Box history
  • Batch-run ASINs in Keepa to extract supporting data fields.
  • Identify meaningful competitor variations that may not appear in initial keyword pulls.
  • Maintain structured research templates with consistent formatting and detailed notes.
  • Flag missing, conflicting, or unclear marketplace data directly in research sheets.
  • Provide regular updates on assigned SKUs and task progress.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing or analyzing e-commerce marketplaces.
  • Hands-on experience with: Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Marketplace, eBay, or other online marketplaces
  • Experience using: Helium 10 (Cerebro + Xray), Keepa
  • Strong Excel skills (data consolidation, filtering, deduplication, structured templates).
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to follow standardized research workflows.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience working with U.S.-based companies is highly preferred.
