Job Summary: Reporting into the Head of Commercial as Key Account Sales Manager (UK South) at Wattbike Ltd, you will lead our key account and regional sales in fitness, elite sport and other vertical channels in the South of the UK. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to grow volume, revenue and brand position with key customers in line with the Wattbike B2B strategy.  

Territory: The South of England with emphasis on Greater London, the South-East and South Coast.  

Location: A field-based role with regular site visits and travel required. 1 day a week working from office or home office. Occasional international travel possible. Location near London and M25 favoured. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Nurturing business in region: Progressing leads to closed won through visits, calls and personal interactions to close as many opportunities as possible. Doing so independently with the support of the sales team, marketing and wider B2B business. 
  • Achieving sales targets: Meeting and overachieving sales targets in month and through the year for the region and key accounts. Targets include revenue and margin expectations. 
  • Supporting lead generation: Using own network to influence and grow the volume of leads and quality of leads alongside the B2B marketing team. 
  • Account Management: Guarantee long-term business with national and regional accounts in Fitness chains using account management skills. 
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Working with logistics, finance and marketing on a regular basis. Also tying in with product and customer service to support existing customers. 
  • Key metric reporting: Ensuring an always-high level on reporting quality and timeliness to assure that sales, lead and activity data is up to date and reflects a live-status of progress in the area. 

Measures of Success: 

  • Activity metrics: High volumes customer interactions to ensure relentless progression through sales stages 
  • Sales targets: Beating monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets meeting target volumes, revenue and margin. 
  • Key Account engagement: Maintain and improve relationships, engagement with the Wattbike brand and products, and deliver high levels of repeat revenue on all accounts 
  • Win new customers: Acquiring new customers for Wattbike in multiple sectors. 
  • Case study and shareable successes: Bring or support the delivery of content, case studies and customer response to promote the brand in the UK and global markets. 

Requirements

Experience: 

  • Proven experience of field-sales in a fitness and or elite sport sectors 
  • Proven experience of account and relationship management 
  • Negotiation, closing deals and working with stretching targets 
  • Gathering, working through and prioritising leads within a quick and through process 
  • Working with and delivering on performance KPIs for activities and sales interactions 
  • Representing the brand to an extremely high level in person, online and via other comms channels 
  • Working with CRM and sales tracking software such as Salesforce

  • Willingness to travel for events and trade shows as required.  
  • Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends for events or deadlines.
