Freelance Digital Delivery Partner (Contract)

Reports to: Associate Director of Digital Operations (day-to-day delivery alignment)
Primary Interfaces: Digital Product Managers, IT Architecture, Finance, Procurement, External Vendors

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Digital Delivery Partner to support the delivery of complex digital initiatives across multiple product solutions. This role is ideal for a hands-on delivery professional who thrives on translating product roadmaps into actionable plans and ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, in-scope, and to the highest quality standards.

You will work closely with Digital Product Managers, IT, Finance, Procurement, and external vendors to integrate delivery activities, manage dependencies, and provide clear, actionable reporting. Order to Cash (O2C) experience is essential, as many initiatives will intersect with financial and operational processes.

This role focuses solely on delivery execution. It does not involve product strategy ownership, people management, or organizational design.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Delivery Partnership

  • Collaborate with Digital Product Managers to translate product roadmaps into executable delivery plans.
  • Align delivery across technology, UX, data, architecture, security, and business stakeholders.
  • Manage cross-solution dependencies, sequencing, and release coordination.
  • Act as the primary delivery point of contact for assigned initiatives.

Project & Initiative Execution

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate multiple concurrent digital initiatives.
  • Track milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring proactive resolution.
  • Maintain delivery cadence, governance checkpoints, and operational readiness.

Financial & Commercial Stewardship

  • Track delivery spend against approved CAPEX budgets.
  • Support Order to Cash processes, SOW scope alignment, change control, vendor onboarding, PO creation, invoice validation, and Goods Receipt.
  • Provide accurate cost and forecast reporting to leadership.

Vendor Coordination

  • Manage external vendors and system integrators to ensure alignment with timelines, priorities, and quality expectations.
  • Highlight delivery risks, scope creep, or commercial misalignment proactively.

Governance & Ways of Working

  • Apply Solenis delivery governance, architecture checkpoints, and reporting standards.
  • Maintain required delivery artefacts for IT, Security, Architecture, and Finance oversight.
  • Drive consistent execution across multiple product teams without unnecessary bureaucracy.

Decision Authority

  • Adjust delivery sequencing, timelines, and resourcing within approved scope and budget.
  • Recommend go / no-go decisions for releases from a delivery readiness perspective.
  • Escalate material scope, cost, or risk issues to Digital Operations and Product Development leadership.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years delivering digital or technology initiatives in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Proven experience working alongside Product Managers, not replacing them.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple parallel initiatives with shared dependencies.
  • Strong experience in delivery financials, vendor coordination, commercial governance, and Order to Cash processes.
  • Comfortable operating in global, distributed teams.

Tools & Environment

  • Experience with Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Teams, SharePoint, or equivalent delivery and collaboration tools.
  • Remote-first, globally connected working model.
  • Occasional travel (~10%) may be required for key delivery milestones.
