Senior Project Manager – Enterprise System Replacement

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee a complex enterprise system replacement project. This role requires strong leadership in coordinating vendor accountability, risk management, and successful delivery of all aspects of the project on time, within budget, and to organizational standards.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Coordination

  • Provide delivery oversight and coordination across workstreams, teams, and organizational requirements
  • Align agile sprint execution with waterfall release planning to ensure timely implementation
  • Foster a collaborative team culture that promotes accountability, trust, and problem‑solving
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and keep the project focused on outcomes

Project Documentation

  • Maintain a central project repository with version‑controlled documentation
  • Develop and maintain project deliverables including charters, governance artifacts, schedules, RAID logs, financial tracking, and dashboards
  • Produce deliverables for presentation to committees and stakeholders

Vendor Management

  • Partner with vendors to align plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables
  • Hold vendors accountable for contractual commitments, timelines, and quality standards
  • Review and validate vendor deliverables prior to acceptance
  • Escalate performance issues through governance channels and coordinate corrective action

Governance & Controls

  • Maintain integrated master schedules incorporating sprint cycles, business activities, and technical readiness tasks
  • Lead project meetings, manage scope, schedule, and budget controls, and implement formal change processes
  • Track dependencies across development, training, infrastructure, security, privacy, and data migration
  • Apply recognized project management methodologies and industry standards

Risk Management

  • Maintain risk/issue registers and mitigation plans across all workstreams
  • Proactively identify risks related to vendor execution, resourcing, data migration, testing, training, and organizational readiness
  • Coordinate issue resolution and propose mitigation strategies

Quality Assurance & Acceptance

  • Support testing strategies and ensure defects are tracked and resolved
  • Confirm quality standards across development, integrations, data migration, reporting, and security
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successful data migration and validation

Change Management & Training

  • Partner with change management leads to align activities with development and testing milestones
  • Ensure training materials are complete and accurate for delivery
  • Support stakeholder readiness and adoption activities

Technical Compliance

  • Coordinate with technical teams to ensure privacy, security, accessibility, and compliance requirements are met
  • Track completion and approval of documentation and technical sign‑offs

Reporting & Implementation

  • Provide clear, timely reporting to leadership, summarizing status, risks, budget, and vendor performance
  • Lead go‑live planning, cutover activities, and post‑implementation stabilization
  • Support knowledge transfer and post‑implementation reviews

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem‑solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Active PMP certification (or equivalent) and Agile certification

Experience Requirements

  • Coordinating activities across multiple teams and stakeholders (8 years)
  • Developing and maintaining complex project plans (8 years)
  • Building positive stakeholder relationships including executive level (8 years)
  • Developing project deliverables such as charters, business cases, briefing notes, status reports, risk logs, closures, and dashboards (8 years)
  • Implementing recognized project management methodologies and standards (8 years)
  • Managing vendor relationships, contracts, and performance tracking (5 years)
  • Managing enterprise‑scale application development projects (CRM, ERP, Finance systems) (5 years)
  • Managing projects using Agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery models (3–8 years)
  • Working knowledge of system implementation lifecycle activities (5 years)
  • Experience coordinating compliance activities (privacy, security, information management) (5 years)
  • Experience managing project budgets and forecasts (5 years)
  • Experience leading post‑implementation assessments and transition to operations (5 years)
  • Experience working in or for the public sector (3 years)
  • Experience in program management, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, SharePoint Online, Teams, and MS Office.
