We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst and Business Intelligence Developer to join our team. In this role, you’ll leverage data science technologies, advanced analytics tools, and business intelligence platforms to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement business intelligence (BI) solutions that translate complex data into actionable insights for various business units.
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar to provide real-time business visibility.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver effective BI solutions.
• Extract, clean, and transform large datasets from various sources to enable accurate and insightful reporting.
• Analyze data using statistical techniques and machine learning models to uncover trends, patterns, and predictive insights.
• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS (e.g., Redshift, S3) and Azure (e.g., Synapse, Azure Data Lake) to manage and optimize data storage.
• Leverage Python libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) for data manipulation, analysis, and advanced reporting.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes to move data efficiently into data warehouses or BI tools.
• Ensure data integrity by automating data validation processes and improving data quality.
• Create custom reports and automated dashboards with Excel, leveraging advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables, vLOOKUP, and Power Query for business analysis.
• Provide ad-hoc reporting and data analysis as requested by business teams to support decision-making.
• Work with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes to streamline deployment and scaling of data systems.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure that the BI and analytics processes meet business objectives and compliance standards.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Developer, with strong knowledge of BI tools, data analysis, and visualization.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL (both complex queries and data manipulation) and experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Strong experience using Excel for data analysis, reporting, and advanced functions (e.g., pivot tables, vLOOKUP, Power Query, macros).
• Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar for creating interactive and dynamic reports and dashboards.
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, specifically AWS (e.g., Redshift, S3) and Azure (e.g., Synapse, Azure Data Lake).
• Experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Databricks for large-scale data analysis.
• Proficiency in Python (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) for data analysis and reporting automation.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to interpret data and generate predictive models.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
• Excellent communication skills to present complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to define data-driven solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with custom data visualizations beyond standard BI tools, using Python or D3.js for interactive dashboards.
• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and practical experience in applying them to business problems.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and privacy best practices.
• Familiarity with tools for workflow orchestration (e.g., DBT, Apache Airflow).
