At CI&T, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mid-Level Backend Developer to join our team in Brasil. You will contribute to an innovative project in a collaborative, transformative, and multicultural environment driven by Collaboration, Innovation & Transformation.
Position Overview
As a Mid-Level Backend Developer, you will develop and implement robust backends that cater to our clients' needs. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to create API layers, ensuring high-quality deliverables that align with client expectations. Your expertise will play a vital role in shaping our development strategy while mentoring junior developers along the way.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement backends that meet our clients' needs.
- Collaborate with the team to design and enhance various backend functionalities.
- Create API layers to be consumed by internal and external frontends and backends.
- Conduct unit testing, adjusting as necessary to ensure quality.
- Participate in project planning and review meetings, contributing to the company’s development strategy.
- Mentor and guide junior and intermediate developers on the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Must-have Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Spring Boot.
- Skill in strategizing and creating RESTful APIs and Backend For Frontend solutions.
- Proficiency in backend frameworks and testing libraries.
- Ability to utilize software engineering patterns to create modular backends, focusing on maintainability and performance (Design Patterns, SOLID, DDD, Clean Code).
- Capability to work with services that use a Serverless strategy.
- Skills to create and maintain CI/CD tools for defining the application's build/bundle (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitbucket pipelines, etc.).
- Solid understanding of agile development methodologies.
- Ability to work in a team and possess good interpersonal communication skills.
- A portfolio demonstrating relevant previous experiences will be a plus.
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools.
