Job Description

A growing, technology-driven professional services organization is seeking an AI Architect to join its team. This role is a senior technical and strategic leadership position responsible for driving the organization’s AI vision from concept through commercialization.

The AI Architect will design and implement AI systems, lead development teams, guide enterprise AI architecture, and partner closely with executive leadership and business stakeholders to identify opportunities, drive adoption, and deliver measurable business value. This role blends deep hands-on technical expertise with product strategy, business alignment, and organizational leadership.

Experience deploying AI solutions at scale in real-world production environments is essential. Experience in legal services, litigation support, medical records, insurance, or other regulated industries is a strong plus.

Requirements

AI Strategy & Architecture

  • Define and own the organization’s AI systems architecture, including model selection, data infrastructure, orchestration, and deployment pipelines
  • Design scalable, secure, and compliant AI solutions across the enterprise
  • Establish development standards, MLOps best practices, and governance frameworks for responsible AI

Hands-On Technical Leadership

  • Architect, prototype, and deliver AI/ML applications, including:
    • Document processing and summarization tools
    • Scheduling and workflow automation
    • Proprietary analytics and decision-support systems for complex data domains
  • Oversee model fine-tuning, prompt engineering, data pipelines, evaluation frameworks, and performance monitoring
  • Review and guide technical work across the AI engineering team

Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with executives, sales, operations, and product teams to identify high-impact AI opportunities
  • Translate business challenges into technical solutions with clear ROI and measurable outcomes
  • Communicate complex AI concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Drive cross-functional adoption of AI systems through training, change management, and solution evangelism

Team Leadership

  • Manage, mentor, and grow an AI engineering team, providing technical guidance, performance oversight, and career development
  • Promote a culture of experimentation, accountability, and continuous learning
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and data teams to ensure coordinated delivery

Execution & Delivery

  • Lead the full lifecycle of AI products, from ideation and scoping through deployment and iteration
  • Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for security, privacy, and data integrity (e.g., PHI, PII, HIPAA, as applicable)
  • Measure business impact, track adoption, and ensure reliable performance at production scale

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering, data science, or software architecture
  • Proven track record designing, deploying, and maintaining AI products in production environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with modern AI stacks, including:
    • Large Language Models (LLMs)
    • Vector databases and embedding systems
    • Orchestration frameworks and MLOps tooling
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized environments
  • Experience leading engineering teams or complex technical initiatives
  • Ability to partner closely with executive leadership and communicate technical concepts clearly
  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in regulated or sensitive data
